Posted - May 23 2008 : 07:23:16 AM Tonight is senior prom, and my son is going, but I have to work and won't get to see him all dressed up! My daughter is going to take his picture. His dad had to pre-tie the tie last night!
Apparently there isn't the pressure to go as couples anymore, many of the kids are just going single (like him)and hanging out as a big group.
This brings back memories of my senior prom--I can't believe I went with that guy! Isn't it funny how things look different 27 years later? I still have my dress, too!
Do you remember your senior prom?

Posted - May 23 2008 : 10:15:52 AM The prom here was usually this late, but for some reason, they bumped it up and it was 3 weeks ago. DD went with all of her best friends and that is pretty much the norm, now. There are some couples in the high school, but not many. With a class of 20 or so the choices are pretty limited. So, group dates of friends are very common.
Remember back when you wouldn't even consider going without a date? The other kids would ridicule you!
