If you live in Georgia or ever spend time in the area, you must check out Westville. This a living history museum which depicts an 1850's village. It has homes, stores, school, church and courthouse. Different activites go on at times. They have old fashioned gingerbread and lemonade (wonderful). People are dressed in the 1800's clothing. It is the most wonderful and interesting place. You can learn and appreciate those times more. We are going this weekend (been many times) - but this time the Indians will be there and create acts at the village as they did back then. Can't wait! Feel like I am at Little House with the Ingall's!

It is a wonderful place to visit. Also in Tifton in South Georgia a great place is the Agrirama Living History Museum.

It is a 19th century working homestead with a lot of buildings you can tour. I love to go there. It is best in spring or fall because of the humid heat, though.

I have been there, and it is a popular place for the region to use as field trips for school children. I was a chaperone for that reason, and it was a really fun place to see. It has been years, though, and would be fun to go again!
