Posted - May 19 2008 : 08:10:46 AM Has anyone else heard the new Beef commercials on the radio? You know, the "It's whats for dinner" ones? Well, I heard one on my way to the grocery store this morning. It is not Sam Elliot anymore! But, I think that the new voice behind the beef is Matthew McConaughey. So, I have to say that the NCBA did a pretty good job picking a replacement! That is a voice I don't mind hearing! |

Posted - May 19 2008 : 7:22:37 PM OK gals, I am gonna go WAY out on a limb here & some may not even be able to relate..BUT I love the guy that announces the breeds at the Westminster!! Great voice & depending on the breed (OK I am a GREAT DANE FREAK)))).. I get chills when he reads their breed purpose & then at the end says "This is Great Dane Number 121!!"(or whatever) C'mon, I'm going purely for voice here..quit thinking about tushes girls!! |

Posted - May 19 2008 : 7:13:09 PM I haven't seen any of these commercials with either of the two guys you mention. Must be something that only airs in the Midwest? |

Posted - May 19 2008 : 3:12:25 PM When my nephews would hear the old commercials with Sam's voice, they would go "It's Otis's dad Ben!!!" - from Barnyard the movie. I giggle each time I hear it since he did the voice of the bull. They go around saying "Beef, its whats for dinner!"
It sure does feel weird having someone besides Sam doing the commercials.

Posted - May 19 2008 : 1:44:02 PM Oh, Ladies, I, too, love Sam Elliot. So rugged and manly! But, if it can't be Sam, Matthew is fine with me. I must admit that when I wrote the opening post I googled his name to make sure that I spelled it right, and darn if some pictuers didn't come up, too! What a shame! |

Posted - May 19 2008 : 1:00:11 PM While I love Matthew's dimples and cute tush, I have to admit, Sam has a great voice, and those eyes. *sigh* I would much rather listen to Sam tell me "It's what for dinner."
