OK, I know I'm always the one to start this thread, but there's one week left - I'd love to take an informal poll here - which David are you thinking is going to be the new AI? I think David Cook is the best candidate for it, but I have a feeling that Archie might win with all the teeny bopper vote! What do you think?

Just sitting here getting ready to watch the finals. I'm pulling for Cookie all the way I hope he wins. I also liked Jason Castro and Danny Noriego this season.

David Cook is HOT with a super sexy gravelly voice! I love him, can you tell??? I do think that DA will win though, the judges seem to like him better and he is the "type" that always wins.

I hope DC wins. He has better stage presence and is more interesting to watch. DA has a bit more growing up but has a nice clear voice. Wish his dad would lay off |

I agree that they all sound worse each year, & I am not aa huge Idol fan anyway. But I was watching an old Idol Rewind & it was when Kelly Clarkson was one & they were singing big band numbers. She sang "Stuff Like THat There" from the Bette Midler movie & that girl has some chops. She would win hands down again easily. That said, I am not a huge fan of her now. But that song was killer. |

This well written article was in the Times Saturday, written by a theatre critic. I haven't watched many of the AI episodes, but I thought this writer's comments were fascinating... that it is Cook's theatrical training that has given him the best performances.

we love David Cook. I think the other David has some growing up to do. I can't stand listening to him talk whenever he is interviewed. It is like listening to a 10 year old.. My 13 year old son speaks more clearly and boldly than he does.
I couldn't believe this years selection- they are getting worse and worse each year. sorry to those who thought they were all awesome.

I'm for David Cook, too. We just adore DA but Cook has the goods NOW; DA stillhas some maturing to do. hope to see both of them out on tour in years to come.
I must say, David Cook was my least favorite at the beginning of the season, but he has won me over. Many friends and family feel the same way. Now, that's a star - winning new fans over!

My husband thinks DC, I seriously thought Syesha. But now that it's the final two, I think DC. DA seems young and not ready for the spotlight. Although I think he will get signed ASA the show is over. But I think it's a close competition!
