There is the most poignant and beautiful picture posted today on the AOL news of a 81 year old grandmother named Catherine Howk of Jean Lafitt, LA sitting in a rocker on her front porch. Her home is on stilts surrounded by floodwater. She is barefoot, quietly working on a quilt for her grandson. Now that is beauty and spirit...

And what about the 2 women (sisters), in their 90's (I believe was the age). That had been separated due to the hurricane and reunited?! That one was on the news. |

This picture almost brought tears to my eyes.
Live a good and honorable life. Then when you get older and think back, you'll be able to enjoy it a second time. |

yes, I am an aol gal  ........
I did a right hand click on the photo and tried to copy & paste. Didnt work. Then I did a right hand click on the photo and then clicked on properties and it put up a screen with the link listed to the pic. I just cpoied and pasted the link! (It surprised me that it worked, too!)
Hope I can remember how to do that again!
