Posted - May 11 2008 : 11:48:25 AM My Aunt Hazel was a seamstress, and I found these as a small child in her sewing box. They are jet buttons, and I have to say, the price listings seems a bit "high" for the time period. Does that mean per piece or card?
I'd be interested in anyone's thoughts... Jonni

Posted - May 12 2008 : 05:41:30 AM My mom is so excited to meet you, Miss Wilma! She would normally be working that weekend, but she asked for Sunday off so she could "farmgirl" around with us--she hasn't been to Burlington in many years, and is very excited about spending some of her Nevada winnings :)
Oh goodie!!! I'm hungry all ready! It looks like the weather is going to be much better than last month--at least no rain.
I've not heard from Luna, but perhaps you should email her, Miss Wilma to see if she will be able to swing a trip up our way.

You said it girl--it pays to make friends :) Hope you're having a wonderful day...talked to my co-worker on Friday who lived in Reno and moved here to start a church. I mentioned where you lived and she got all choked up...she misses Nevada very much.

Posted - May 11 2008 : 3:37:30 PM Jonni, I have a couple of books on buttons and believe one has a price guide. Will look them up for you. Yes, very good buttons and being from family is even better. Lady at the senior thrift shop had called me while I was off work about some very old buttons she was holding for me and they're very vintage like yours, such a treasure. Pays to make friends :) Ronna |

Posted - May 11 2008 : 3:07:24 PM I love them...always did. I asked if I could have them when I was 7, and I've kept them ever since in my trunk. I just thought they were soooo shiny and pretty!!! I know, isn't 410 wonderful!
Thanks Miss Wilma--I hope you're having a wonderful Mother's Day and thanks for remembering. I can't imagine that you WOULD remember it was in your bag when you had so much else going on!!!
Can't wait until Sunday :)
