daughter wednesday doesn't know if she is having a boy or a girl (due mid-june .. but i'm sure the little angel child will come early!)

last night .. she had a labor PAIN .. jus' one .. stronger than her 'braxton hicks' .. got her to thinkin' she better come up with a NAME for her baby.

LUCAS is her first-born son
SOFIA is her daughter

most people seem to 'think' this little one is a BOY .. and wednesday says she is carrying this one like she carried LUCAS.

but .. there is always the element of SURPISE!!!!

i've had the most delicous hour on the phone with her going through names. My favorite for a girl so far is ISABELLA (it jus' 'goes with' SOFIA .. sounds like two little princesses.

Wednesday likes the name Lilija or Liliya .. it's ICELANDIC .. i've not heard that one before .. but it does roll off my tongue pretty!

I like JACOB for a boy (goes well with LUCAS i think) .. frankie doesn't so much like Jacob .. he likes BRYCE .. (as in Bryce Canyon in Utah!! he and wednesday met while attending the University of Utah and often hiked the Bryce Canyon together!) but then .. he also likes THUNDER!!! (we're hoping that is a joke!) Also on his list is Dylan (as in BOB) .. he's quite a fan! Out of those .. Wednesday likes BRYCE the most .. but it still isn't her FAV! She doesn't have a favorite boys name yet.

O.K. if that baby is born in the next couple weeks .. we need a NAME!!!

pleeeeeeeeeeze list your FAVS here (especially BOY names) .. but girls' names too .. jus' in case!

xo

Eli....I Love it! My Grandfather's name was Eli. I love that the old fashioned names have come back!! I think they have such a warm feeling when you say them! When we named our son Jacob, noone was using that name .... we loved that because we felt he would have a unique name .....However, I know that recently Jacob has been a top name on the boy naming lists. Guess others felt it was a great name too!

I always love Irish names (Niam, Liam, Aidan, etc...) but Justin won't have any of it for whatever reason (he's Irish?). I love Jude, but he doesn't want anyone to say, "oh--your parents Beatle fans?", and says "no" to Julian for that same reason.

But, Frannie, what's the middle name? We have to work with Aloyisius as a middle (for a boy) so I'm hoping your new little gran has it easier :)

I always loved Christopher Robin. Yes, like Winnie the Pooh.
I tease my oldest that he almost was named that(Christopher Robin, not Winnie the Pooh)
I like Jonathan. My sister's grand is named Emma Blue. I thought that was pretty. Sarah Lynn is nice.
Caleb is good, that is my grandson's name. Laurissa is my granddaughter.
So many possibilities.

I love ISABELLA! One of my daughters will name her future daughter this as well as an Olivia. She likes Beauty and the Beast and says Bel is not like the other "weak" princess Disney puts out!

Bryce is a fun boys name and since Frankie is so fond of our mountains! Jacob is heard a lot, tho' I like it too.

I too like old or biblical names.

Jacob or Isabella would go well with the names of her other children....IMO.

maryjane .. i like Steven too .. but i think it is probably a little too ordinary for them. They don't want 'bizarre' .. but they do like 'different'.

tina . i love almost every name on your list!! Joshua
Jeremiah
Micah
Jericho
Caleb
Drew
Liam

being my favs. i like names that start with J .. especially 'bibilical' ones.

Ada Mae .. i like Asia or Aja .. but i don't think they will.

rebekah .. i like Olivia but lucas' best little girl friend has that name .. sooo .. they probably wouldn't choose it.
Can't do Peyton .. my friend's dog is named that .. and even though it is pretty .. just knowing a 'dog' by that name kinda' spoils it for me. Isn't it funny how just 'knowing' someone with a name won't allow you to use it because you can't get 'over' it.

jeannie .. i'm hopin' for ISABELLA .. so far .. it's at the top of my list. Was thinking of the name: Liliya that wednesday came up .. it is 'different' .. and i'm warming up to that one too.

Annika .. i like your name choices too CALEB is my fav you listed .. not wild about Aldon though.

keep 'em coming gurlfrenz .. i'm forwarding them all to Wednesday! xo

I've seen Asia spelled "Aja" for a name. I like Marshall for a boy...very strong name, although it means "horse servant"...BLEHHH! You could just keep that part to yourself if you had that name : ) I also like Audriana, Olivia, Noelle, and Peyton for girls names. Natalie is also a very sweet girl name : ) Good luck on choosing one!

if ever I had another boy the name would be Jordan David..I just love that combination.
but I have a Paul Ian..but we just call him Ian so as not to be calling 2 Paul's and both of them look at me and say "huh?did you call me??"

we have 3 Paul's in the family..my father in law, hubby, and son are all named Paul for their first names...then my hubby's best friend back home was named Paul..so we got all them in a room together once and me and mom W. were in the next room and snickered and she hollered "Paul!"
and all of them said "yes?" and we just died laughing.

I just heard a cute name on TV---Asia---I'm not sure that that is how you would spell it. It could be for a boy or a girl.

We've been watching Band of Brothers (again) and when they are out, hidden, the 101st says "Flash" and the answer (if your US) is "Thunder"...so that's what I think of :). Isabella is a pretty name. It does go well with Sophia.

One name I have loved is Stephen (Pronounced Steven) Luke.
One of my "second daughter's" sons is named Stephen Luke. It sounds nice with your daughters last name. I'm with you for the little girl, I love Isabella. Of course sometimes you have a name all picked out and take one look and the baby, and another name comes about! You have to admit Thunder is different. My friends ganddaughter is named Storm. Now that would be a couple!

I'm the type that likes old fashioned names that can have cute kiddie nicknames and strong adult names. So far my two are Rebecca (who is a Becca) and Jacob (who is a Jakey but could become a Jake or just Jacob later on). I am due this week with another boy and we are thinking about Joseph (Joey or Joe), Thomas (Tommy, Tom), Robert (Robby, Bobby, Bob, Rob), or William (Billie, Bill, Will). I think it is nice to choose a name that has several nicknames so that the child can choose what they want to be called. I was Bessie as a little girl, Beth all through school and still to my family, and Elizabeth in my writing and public places. ELizabeth is one of the names with one of the most choices for nicknames - but I hate the nickname Liz and so many people seem to shorten my Elizabeth into Liz for some reason. Oh, for a future girl (hopefully) I want Margaret Anne. Maggie Anne sounds adorable for a baby and later can be changed to Meg or another nickname if wanted.

I love the name Garren....you hear Garrett alot, and I like it but Garren is different. I like Carter alot too, and Eli. Not sure why, but I have always like the name Eli. And Cody. But I had Corey and Casey...adding Cody if I would have had another birth son would have been a bit much.haha. I love my son Travis' name alot too..oh and I like the name Levi...

LUCAS and JACOB .. how great does that sound together! wednesday did like the two names together though. i also liked LUCAS and MARCUS .. but she said no to marcus! xo

oh .. i think she said JACOB is the number one name on several 'baby names' sites she looked at .. and wants something a little 'different' .. oh lordy! just not THUNDER!! hank LOVES the name THUNDER!!

thanks for the suggestions .. i'll pass them on! xo

Jackson, Jack, (fond of those, too)

Dylan has been done, sadly. Our niece, Ava has 7 Dylans in her pre-school alone, and I hear it constantly in every store I go to. I love Bob, too, but....
