Posted - Apr 30 2008 : 10:58:38 PM oh you gals surprised me big time yesterday!!... I was fixing to walk out the door yesterday evening to take Naomi to her ballroom dance class when UPS pulled up and handed me a box. Wow..what a lovely surprise. Of course I had to sit down right then and there to see what was in the box... gosh..you gals! A box full of love.
I absolutely adore vintage items like this..and love, love crochet work. Especially filet crochet which my grandmother used to do.
I love the pillow with the deer on it. I love everything you sent... and have plans to use the little embroidered piece that says" Farm:To Own, To Dream" along with the "Tickle her with a hoe "card...to create a large 16 by 20 piece of artwork devoted to farm life images. I have the idea already brewing in my head and some images already picked out.
The other otems I can't seem to bring myself to want to use in artwork..as they are so lovely.
I will be using that lovely shawl as a valance in my master bathroom. I intend to drape it over the curtain rod and tie it onto the rod with little ribbon bows. The runner with the roses..will just have to go on my buffet in the dining room. (I have an old buffet from about the 30's/40's..that I use as a display area and I love to put vintage linens on the top of it,and change out the display as the fancy strikes me.)
Oh....I just had to try one of those chocolate bars today...oh my gosh! are they so yummy! I tried the almond and coconut flavored one... oh my..I was in chocolate lover's heaven! Thank you both so very much for all the love that you sent my way. Hugs to you both. You made this gals day! --------------------------- wanted to share with the gals here what lovely items I recieved.

Posted - May 01 2008 : 06:31:00 AM So, glad you liked it Tina! So fun to put it all together thinking of you! Mom and I just sent out a box to Mumof3. But a good portion of the baskets we pull from for our farmgirl of the month gifts come from the one and only MISS WILMA!!!! cartwheel, bugle, clapping. In fact, she embroidered the FARM TO OWN piece that I thought you just had to have! I barely parted with it, but I know you dream soooooo of a farm of your own. This little monthly idea of Frannie's is so much fun.
