Hey there Kentucky girls...and Ohio, Indiana, and anyone else that wants to join in the fun. May 18th, the Kentucky farmgirls will be gathering at the Burlington Antique Show in Burlington, KY. It is in northern, Kentucky near Covington/Cincinnati area. Here is the website for the show: http://www.burlingtonantiqueshow.com/

The show itself starts with early buyers at 5AM-8AM for $5 admission and then from 8AM-3PM it is $3 per person. It is well worth it and there are all kinds of goodies to be found. Our very own Miss Wilma and Janice will be having booths showcasing their goodies.

We would love to invite everyone to come join in the fun. Just let us know here if you are planning on coming. Last time was an absolute BLAST to say the least and we had a great group. It rained for a little bit there at the end, but that didn't damper our spirits. There is never a dull moment and hopefully we will have some music playing as well from our farmboy hubbies. :)

Soo it's official...18 days and counting...can't you smell those apple pies from Miss Jonni calling your name?

Miss Wilma,

I have not been online for several days as we have been on vacation and I have been catching up on all things.

I grew up in Node-a spot in the road sort of in between Center and Sulphur Well, it is actually in Green Co. I know many people from Sulphur Well. I now live in Greensburg. Have lived in Green County all my life except when I went to college in Louisville. My husband is from Liletown.

We are not farmers but have farm girl and farm boy hearts. We have a 62 acre farm, with 3 children, 4 horses, 10 head of cattle and 3 dogs, 4 cats and a partridge in a pear tree!!
We like to fish, ride horses, garden and watch the sunset on our "hill".

I do not think I know you but I sure enjoy reading your entries and am looking forward to knowing you better.

One day soon, Linda...You'll get here!

I can't wait to meet you in person, too, Linda...and there would be no place better to meet up than Miss Wilma's place. What a "haven in the storm" for me. She is such a light, and we are all lucky to have her!!!

I'm sooo looking forward to it. I am picking my pies to figure out which one is best to share (and sell by the piece). I know Jessica wants an apple, and I think I'll make the Chess Pie again for Sterl.

Ann, any requests? I'm just so looking forward to meeting you and your family, and Miss Wilma is more than wonderful. You'll love her in a milisecond!

This will be fun. We are such "no fuss" people, and I'm totally fine pitching our own tent and sleeping on the ground! A shower is nice though :)!

Cecily, Cooper is such a great name! Good for you for going natural. I did for 2 of mine - the best thing for everyone. For my 3rd, I just didn't think that I had it in me to go thru it. I gave into the epidural - and ended up with 15 medical staff in the room due to complications that I'm quite sure would not have been there had I stuck to my convictions. All that to say...."YOU CAN DO IT!!!!"

Wilma, would a tent in your backyard be ok? Are there killer mosquitos? Jonni - do you have the bug spray :)!

Cecily I LOVE the name I hope you have it as easy I did . I had three children was never in labor over an hour and they just kept getting bigger, My last son was the easiest , my poor husband said I know its easier on you but I sure hope its not another one of those fast trips well I had one pain and he was born, dumb me I raised up and said what was that, I didnt even have a doctor. He weighed 8lbs and 12 ozs, I found out a big butt does have advantages, now dont you be frightened just stay calm and every thing will be super, I was scared with the first one but it was overwith before I knew it, Let us know and send pics

:o) Thanks Jonni! I am more excited... just nervous about the birth process... I'm planning to go natural with no epidural... I just don't want to deal with the long-term effects of it (migraines) and I want to feel when I need to push.

Yahoo!!!! A boy named Cooper! Sounds just adorable. Be more excited than nervous (easy for me to say!)
