All these changes I have made is really put me back in touch with myself- me- my essence- my soul!!! Spending time doing good things for my family, the earth, others and myself, changing the way I conduct business has been terrific!! It's like my inner farmgirl is going full throttle!!!

I can finally sit back and enjoy my days. Though I still rush around, to show my son the new composter or watch him play his is "wucket of yater" (bucket of water...) or look up recipes to make bread that will nourish my family is so exciting to me.

I just wanted to share.

Cheers,
Heather

I feel the same way...something was missing in my hurry around life...we lived and shopped for convenience...get this--I have had a bread maker that I have had for 3 years...used 3 times! We were blessed to have the chance to move into my hubby's gma's log cabin out on 5 acres. At first I hated it...from the city to the country was NOT my idea of a good time. But now I just love how our life is slowing down...I'm even making our own butter this Saturday! Just feels right...

Dirt under my nails and weeds in my hair...don't tell me I can't dress up with flair!

This is a great forum, I have to agree wholeheartedly!
Best wishes to you with your happiness.
I find as I get older and more comfortable with myself, I'm much happier with just the everyday. Everything is lovely.

Moi- QUIET!!! HA~!! That is funny. Honestly, in the beginning, I was holding back because I had been sent some really evil emails from another forum I had belonged too. I was worried about trust here but let me tell ANYONE who reads this- this is the most fabulous, open minded, open armed, loving, safe forum to bring yourself and your family. I belonged to 2 other forums and it got downright hateful and mean (and one was a mothering website...yikes!!!)

So I Thank you all!!!

Cheers,
Heather

Yay Heather!

You sure a blossoming! I remember when you first logged on to the forum. You told us how you would probably hide and not chat too much. And sure enough you were a quite mouse at first, but you shared with us and we shared back and now we wonder where you have gone to if you have to step away from the computer for a few days. You have had struggles with many things in your life, and have been working through them beautifully! I am so happy to hear you getting into your groove! I feel that way myself! Some days I am filled with the sense that the future holds great things and I have to remind myself to enjoy the _now_ as well instead of straining towards that future! Isn't it a great feeling when things start falling into place in your life. It feels like the path firms up under your feel with a big sign in front of you saying "You're on the right path! Keep going!" :D
