Does anyone else watch this show? I started watching it several years ago, it's on our educational channel on Saturday evenings. My husband and I get such a giggle out of it. It's a Canadian comedy show full of skits. The setting is in a man's lodge and the handyman things and inventions they come up with on that show are a hoot. Those fellows get into all types of situations and Red thinks most can be solved with the handyman's secret weapon-- duct tape. It's a family oriented show and I recommend it.

i love alot of the shows on our pbs channel, but this is one of my favs. my dh looks a little like the redgreen fellow, but he acts alot like him. the outdoor shower that we have that he made looks like something from dr. zeuss.
my dh also likes to say the mans prayer at the end of the show with a little twinkle in his eye and i'm sure his tongue in his cheek.

I'm afraid I've never been able to sit throught it...I don't hate it, just can't identify with it :)...no man I've ever known was like them, so I guess that's why.

I do love Keeping Up with Appearances, though--I know LOTS of folks like Hyacinth!

I love Red Green. DH is not as big a fan as I am. Go figure. I think it's because I'm laughing at all the silly "manisms" and he doesn't think it's very funny. Ha!

I also like the show that comes on before it called "Keeping Up Appearances". Hyancinth is so concerned about appearances that everything she does back fires on her. I have a neighbor JUST like her. It's another hilarious show.

We discovered Red Green many years ago while on vacation in Canada. It is such a wonderful show, truly silly and funny. My kids still love it, and we've always got duct tape at our house! Karin

I love the "man's prayer" at the end of every show - "I'm a man, but I can change, if I have to!"

You shall eat the fruit of the labor of your hands - You shall be happy and it shall be well with you. -Psalm 128.2

Ahhh Yes, Red Green. My Hubby's favorite. We used to watch it every Saturday night here in Ga. Then some one in their infinite wisdom moved it to after midnight!. We haven't seen it since. I think the Ga rednecks did not want competition with the Canadian counterparts? What do ya think?
We miss watching it. Having a DH and 4 grown sons I can say it was truely a man show. I really enjoyed it too.

HAIL to THE DUCT TAPE!

My (now ex-) husband and I used to watch Red Green on a regular basis. Ex-husband is Canadian, so part of the charm was it's a Canadian show. One May, probably ten years ago now, Red and Harold came to Spokane and since we contributed to our public television station, we were able to meet them! I ran across pictures of Bob (ex) and Harold the other day!

I love how men are laughing at themselves! I always enjoyed the black and white segments with Bill.

My husband loves Red Green and in my friends opinion if you put his hat, plaid shirt and suspenders Jim looks like Red Green. JoAnn

I recall a stuntgirl who broke the land speed record at El Mirage Dry Lake in SoCalif some years ago and her car was held together with duct tape. Can't recall her name right now; she was deaf and totally fearless.

Ohhh the duct tape adventures we could tell. LIke that fact that is is 70 mile per hour duct tape. The hood latch let go on my brothers car when we were hunting for yard sales of coarse. So out comes the duct tape, taped that hood down serveral times and that puppy didn't move. LOL Hey duct tape rules!!!!!

Elaine I love that show because it is so true! When my husband passed away I placed up on the stand not only his ashes, picture but also the book 1,000 uses for duck tape. Those who knew my husband understood that Curt was fantastic at business (ran three) but could not fix a thing so he duck taped everything. The stories run from taping the hem of his $600.00 suit when out of town to taping up our sons leg when he sliced it up on a ski trip. The emergency doctor could not believe it but while I was talking to the doctor on the phone I assured him that Curt only understood duct tape.

Red Green lives a little bit in every guy.
