oh ha! i was flippin' through channels yesterday lookin' for a good movie .. and there was a commercial on for a show that is coming up soon .. where a bunch of City Girls visit Farm Boys .. and i think it says one of them chooses a wife. That should be a hoot to watch.

LORDY! i'd like to see a 'reverse one' .. where a buncha' farmboys come to meet City girls.

AS LONG AS NONE OF IT IS MEAN-SPIRITED OR UNKIND TO EITHER SIDE!

And then again .. it might be like that silly 'wife-swapping' tv show (i think it is a regular show) .. i was at a friend's house and she just HAD to watch it .. so i sat along with her .. i guess this is what we call REALITY tv. Some of those lifestyles are surely different from anything or anyone i've ever known. As i remember .. one lady was a vegetarian from New England .. the other from the deep south and she and her husband caught, killed and made 'wearing apparel' out of alligators.

Hey .. but ALL are god's little chilluns!

trooooooooooly didn't post this for any reason than pure interest and entertainment .. no soul-searching judgements .. think 'happy and positive' i know for a fact that there are many, many happily married couples from all kinds of upbringings and back-grounds. Now i'm NOT sure what TV will do to it though!!!

Maybe i'll just find a good movie or silly sitcom to watch that eveing! xo

oh laura .. go back to them if you love them .. i've never known them to go out of style. and they are indeed so very comfortable!

laura, why were your kids embarrassed about them? most kids once they reach their teen years love that 'style' .. (maybe a different brand .. but the sandals are great). i even wear them in the wintertime -- with socks and leg-warmers. lordy! would your kids have jus' fallen apart if you'd worn 'leg-warmers'? my little wednesday was a ballerina so she adored leg warmers .. and they both loved my 'funky' way of dressing. in wednesday's teen years, she went to the Baltimore High School for Performing Arts .. and those kids reeeeeeeeeeeeely knew how to put dynamite looks together. i still dress funky .. i swear when i put 'normal' clothes on .. i jus' feel dowdy. they truly don't look that way on my friends .. but they make "me" feel 'olde'. sames true with my hair ... jus' don't like regular lookin' on me. my FAV look is a 'gypsy' look. i musta' been one in another lifetime!

i remember when we went to greece .. there were lots of bands of gypsies (much like we see in olde movies) .. and more than anything, i wanted to visit with them and get to know them. lordy! our tour guide (who lives in greece) just wanted to hustle us past them.

lordy .. look at me ramblin' .. a woman's mind sure can ramble from subject to subject!

have a great sunday gurlfren! xo

oh ... now one of my fav shoes to wear are CROCS .. they, too, are super comfy and 'trendy'.

Frannie, I wore birks (for at least 10 years)until my children begged me out of embarrassment to stop wearing them. Hey, I was a midwife that was part of the uniform! haha They are the most comfortable shoes.

i jus' might actually watch it .. IF i can figure out which night it is on! i'm sure the program producers will find a buncha' HOT city chicks who do indeed wear sexy shoes .. to make the program exciting ..

oh laura ... (Sparkly Shoes .. what a fun FLASHBACK to the SIXTIES! .. had my 'tennies' and 'birkies' for the 'sportin' stuff .. haven't worn 'tennis shoes in YEARS (except to take very long walks in) .. but i sure still wear those birkenstocks! GREAT SHOES ... and i love my cowgirl boots!

Tho' I do not watch TV and I am married now...I would have been up to being on this type of show. Oh my gosh seemly silly city girl (wearing her sparkle heels),puts on her muck boots, splits wood, milks cow, collect eggs and cooks up a mean breakfast for that hunky farm boy! LOL!
