Ok, long story short, I was coming out of Wally world and these lovely ladies dressed in pink were handing out fliers. It was for their church and they are having a raffle and entry drawing for single mom's, abused women, etc at their church Sunday. I asked them if they took donations- clothing, kids stuff, etc...and she was like yes, drop it off at such and such. Then she jokingly asked "do you cut hair too?" and I was like "Yes, I do. I use to be a hairdresser." I guess the give ladies makeovers to help them out. She was so excited, we exchanged information and I might start doing some cuts as early as next week.

Problem? We are completely different religions and I don't want to get involved in their church, just help them out. They were so sweet and kind (and yes, I fell for the pink shirts...). So you see my wonderful dilema??

Ideas on how I can tactfully handle this, should the occasion arise.

And by the way,,,that positive energy is working!!!

Cheers,
Heather

What a wonderful dilema - I have had that happen to me before and I simple said "God walks in many forms and many paths - this is mine" I found when you speak in love most folks will support you. We sometimes fear things that will never happen instead of believe in the best intentions. I am excited for you and what lucky folks to have found you. I am sure your talents will be great appreciated.

I don't think there's any need to worry. If the subject comes up you can tell them that you are very happy with your church and it's community etc...

If that doesn't work, let me know and I can come up with something cheeky to say! LOL!

What a wonderful opportunity to be of service. I think you were in the right place at the right time!

I would assume it wouldn't matter. Many churches do outreach programs to ofer a service not to "preach" at people.

What a wonderful dilema! Our old church use to do a lot of interdenominational work with abused mothers and children. Looks like God lead you here so just listen and he will keep the path clear.
