whut cha'll have planned for this weekend? we are having beautiful kentucky weather .. but i hear it rumored that we have some rains and a little 'cold snap' comin' through! gotta' bring in all those beautiful potted plants.

we're going to the 'drive-in' movie tonight .. pizza, pepsi and popcorn! ahhhhhhhh my idea of a fun date!

no plans jus' yet for saturday .. might jus' stay at home and enjoy the outdoors and dolly-making!

early Sunday morning .. we're heading for LUH-VULL .. we're going to go on a luncheon boat-cruise down the river (from the Indiana side!). been wantin' to do this since we moved here! THEN .. we are just going to enjoy downtown and our hotel (The Gault House) which i think is right on the river. And a seafood dinner along the water's edge.

To bed somewhat early .. cuz' monday morning at 8 a.m. .. i have my first INSULIN PUMP class! After class, we're gonna' go to the IMAX and roam around the historic district of Louisville. Then head to a 'real' italian restaurant for dinner (hank's fav ethnic food!) THEN to a double-feature at our 'trendy' art theatre.

Early Tuesday morning, i have another PUMP class .. then we'll amble our way back to the country. I doooooooooo love going to the city for some fine dining and museums and such.

what you kids have planned for the next few days? xo

I'm excited for you Frannie, those pumps are cool! and give you better, finer, "tuning" =)
My MIL (almost, not married yet) has one and she loves it too heaven and back.
Besides babysitting my landlords farm, I have 60 wild roses and assorted shrubs to plant this next few days. Hopefully will be doing most of it today :P if I don't have to chase sheep, goats and llamas too much.
Good luck with the pump girlfriend! I hope you'll have more freedom with it, they are pretty neato!

Well, she looked beautiful and if I can figure it out I'll post the picture we took together tonight. (is it hard to post a pic that shows up Alee, not that you have to link to?) All of her friends and their dates came over to our house and took pictures together before heading off to the prom. It was a hoot!
How did time fly by so fast? Ire ember her very first concert in Kindergarten. sniff, sniff.

My daughter has her senior prom today, so we'll be getting ready for that. All the kids are coming to our house to take pictures before they head to the prom. It's always really exciting to see these babies I've known since elementary school all dolled up and ready to hit the town!

As for the rest of the week end? Nothing planned but a lot of R & R. Ahhhh.

Frannie- Yes- during 2006 I actually worked for them. They are an amazing family and take excellent care of their animals. The horses are spectacular. The owner is "Grandma Nancy" to Nora. They are a surrogate family for me so far from home!

Lainey, that sounds like my kindof weekend! I think I'm going to take some frustrations out with my new chainsaw on some invasive asian honeysuckle, wild rose and other weed trees that have had opportunity to grow roots.

And maybe sit in the porchswing if the weather suits it!

Congrats Laluna and hubby! We are going to the Mushroom Festival tomorrow in Irvine, KY. And then on Sunday we are going to Lexington to do our geocaching group's Adopt-A-Highway Trash pickup with a picnic afterwards and will probably go hunting geocaches after that.

Congrats Laluna.
Tomorrow is DH's birthday he is 43. We will most likely go out to lunch. On Sunday, we are having a builder friend over to make a list of supplies needed for our unfinished room. It is supposed to make it up to 60 degrees here this weekend!

I have to get my son's income tax done this weekend! (our deadline in Canada is April 30th).

Hope to get out to work some more on the garden, and I get to plant my tiny tomato plants in the new Wall-o-water thingies I bought. Hope they work, it's supposed to turn cold next week.

But, I really should be celebrating somehow, because I just found out I passed my last course for a job-related certificate that I've been doing for FIVE YEARS now!

Oh, and I have to work Saturday.

I enjoy reading about what everyone is doing!

Tonight the hubby and I are going out to a lovely restaurant to celebrate our 15-year wedding anniversary (which was "officially" yesterday)! Tomorrow I'm heading out to a nearby university for a writing workshop (on the teaching of writing and being a writer). Not sure about Sunday yet...I think it will depend on the weather.

Happy Friday all!

I am not sure what I will be doing this weekend. I might go out to the horse ranch www.rockinheart.com or I might just stay home and do some baking. Who knows?

WE have wild mustangs up on a pass about 40 miles... I am headed up there with my camera this weekend to see if I can capture some photos..... They are so amazingly beautiful...My (ATE') (Lacota for dad) is Native American and his birthday is coming up.....I am hoping to get the perfect photo....Ate' still does bead work etc.. and makes bows....while I was adopted at the age of 9 - ATE' was a foster dad and we have remained charished friends for life.. He is a very wise and talented man. Some of these horses are SO photogenic.

Frannie, I am still waiting for Spring to arrive.....feels we are about 6 weeks behind this year.. So while everything in me says it is time to garden.. I step outside and run back in to light a fire.. weird spring...

Sounds like you've got a fun weekend planned!

I'm heading north this afternoon to get to the rehearsal for my cousin Amy's wedding. I'm singing in the wedding so I'll get to practice and figure out the logistics and such. After the rehearsal we're going out for the rehearsal dinner. Saturday is the wedding, I'm sure we'll be out quite late for the reception and then cleaning up afterward. And Sunday I'll be going to church with my parents and there's supposed to be a surprise shower of sorts for my sister-in-law that evening that I think I'll be staying up for before heading back south Monday morning.

Hope you all have a great weekend!
