Has anyone ever used one that has rechargable batteries?
I have to replace my mower this year and would love a little more earth friendly option. Also, I have run across a deal on one.

Due to my funky yard, a reel mower isn't an option.

Did you like it? Hate it?

I would like to get either an electric mower or a battery operated one.I have a push mower but I believe some little children (no names here)did it in. I have a battery operated wheel barrow. Don't laugh!! It is pretty neat--I got it to carry hay to the horses in the winter---except it goes too slow for me. It is really slow on the grass but on cement it goes faster. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it. MB

Jessica- yup! I love mine but am going to let another farmgirl have it when we move. I figured out that if I mowed my lawn from West to East and then East to West I would never tangle the cord in front of the mower! I would love to buy a model with a battery mounted though! That would be great!

Ok - this is just hilarious because yesterday I was at my cousin's house and noticed she had an electric mower. She said that they love it because it doesn't use gas. You just got to make sure you have a long enough extension cord and not to run over it - kinda like a vacuum cleaner. She said that they have had theirs for over 5 years, so its a keeper.

Which reminds me - I gotta mow the yard today!!

I have one that plugs in and I love it! It does a great job even in high grass. The only thing I can say about it is that it didn't always move the grass in to the bagger but that is probably because the grass was never completely dry when I had opportunity to mow!
