Ladies, What do you get or do for Mother's Day for the woman who has everything? She still likes surprises though. I need suggestions.

My mom lives in another state, so spending the day with her is not possible. She collects Milk Glass. So the summer before I hit up yard sales. I have given her candy dishes with diabetic candy, vases with artificial but nice flowers. I have sent corsages and gift cards. She seems to like all of those. Of course photographs in frames are always welcomed. My mother now is suffering from mental issues, so this year will be more of a challenge.

My adult children have done some fun things, like taking me to dinner. I love Japanese and it is such a treat. One year they had a beautiful surprise brunch the day before. I have received flower plants, bird feeders and other fun items for my garden.

The ideas that have already been listed are great. I like the idea of planting a flower garden Tamara and Sheri the lotion idea is precious.

Tina - I plant my mother a flower garden. Every year my DH and I will take flats of flowers and plant them in her garden beds. Mom has really bad lung problems and can't do much but she loves her flowers. It is the gift that keeps on giving. This year I will also make quiche ( which she loves), a nice salad and strawberry lemonade for us to eat while we kick back and enjoy the new flowers.

I won't get to be with my Mom with Mother's Day ~ (sad face). But she has requested that I make her an apron for every holiday this year! That sure makes it easy. So I had better get working!

The best gift of all is being there and spending time with your momma. I make sure to be there for my mom that day because we don't get to see each other as much as we like (live 2 hours away). I also get her some flowers, hanging baskets, and plant the flowers for her. We use to take her out to eat, but now we all chip in and cook dinner for her. No stress, no waiting, just very relaxing.

Pamela, the food is wonderful...very easy casual, with lots of fresh herbs (naturally :)) and edible flowers. The shop is wonderful, and they now have an antique shop in the former servants quarters out back, past the gardens. You need to go and have a nice lunch for yourself!!!

I am making "sets" of homemade all occasion cards - both my mom, mother in law and my granny love to give cards outs.... so they love getting the sets...

My mom has severe Alzheimer's and just sits all day, but I still want to get her something. I think I will get her some lotion, then go sit with her and rub it on her arms and hands. Not much else I can do - just hope she knows I'm there.

My mom only wants "the cards"...she loves, loves cards and that seems to suffice :)

Oh, my Jonni...
I have been wanting to go to Flag Fork Herb Farm forever. I use to go when they were wayyyyyyyyyy out in the country. How is the food? Do they still have creations to purchase???

I have to go... Thank you for mentioning the place.

Mothers always have to eat. Something special in that category would be nice. I'm partial to chocolates, but I suppose that my son will probably take me to dinner. If not, I'll take myself.

I like the geranium idea a lot.
