I just stopped at Salvation Army and I got some AMAZING DEALS!

I got another Rowenta iron for- wait for it....$1.00!!!

And I got a old antique looking rolling pin for....$1.00!!!

I got some great little china cups, some saucers that are SOOOO cool, a pair of pants, and a whole set of white with silver accent dishes for $3.50!! The dishes are nice and we have a hodge podge right now so it will be nice to have matching dishes and since they were cheap, if we sell them at our garage sale or take them with us it won't be a huge decision either way.

I will get pictures taken and you will have to let me know if you think I did good :D

Only Missing the Rowenta and set of dishes which is still in my car!

Beautiful detail on the handle of the rolling pin:

A Lone Beautiful Saucer without a cup- I am sure I can find one for it:

There are four of these beautiful old bowls. The finish is crackled and a little stained with age, but I haven't washed them yet

I got two of these darling cups without a saucer to match

My New Rowenta- needs it's plate cleaned but I think that shouldn't be too hard.

Lisa-

Rowenta is a brand of Iron that is made in Germany and made to last last last! They are great! They have a little weight to them unlike some of the toss-aways that you can get at the box stores. It seems to be the iron of choice or quilters and such. I love the fact that they sold a $50 iron for $1 just because it has some scorch on the plate. Don't they know that metal cleans? LOL :D My gain!

Alee, those teacups and saucers are so pretty. LUcky you! I'm afraid I don't even know what a Rowenta is? I'm not totally dense, I realize it's an iron. I guess I just don't know designer names unless it's Levi, Wrangler, MaryJane

Thanks everyone! One of the things that has completely frustrated me up here has been the lack of good thrift stores-

And guess what Ronna! They had .99 children's clothes! They don't have the greatest collection yet but I am sure it will grow!

Annika- It is right across from where the farmer's market is held- in the old Creighton's for Women's building. I think it is something like 404 S Jackson Street or something similar.

It _just_ opened here and as I was leaving about 3 little old ladies came in with box after box of stuff. Oh I could get in trouble now that we have a _decent_ thrift store! But oh so exciting! I some some really cute plates with roosters and hens and such but they will have to wait as my spending money is all spent! LOL

Alee - what kind of thrift store was it? All we have is Goodwill and Value Village (in Olympia) and there are never good deals there anymore.

Now you can pass a Rowenta on to someone else who doesn't have one, same way you got your first one.

I don't even have to wait for pictures to know that if you got a Rowenta iron for a dollar, you are the thrifting queen for the day!! Congratulations! I paid a lot more than a dollar for mine!
