Did any of you feel the quake last night? It woke me up the windows were shaking and the basement door sounded like it was coming off the hinges

Yes it was strong here too! In Southern Indiana. Felt a strong aftershock at 11:15, 4.something. Scary for sure.

I'm glad everyone is o.k. too. Is that the first earthquake in that area, that you all remember?
Again, I am so thankful no one was hurt.

We felt it here as well, Miss Wilma! All the way in West Tennessee. My husband called me at 5am and said he was sitting in his truck and it started rocking like a strong wind was blowing it. Then he thought a friend was out there pushing it to mess with him. But no ... it was an earthquake! Unbelievable! So glad everyone is safe.

Sent an e-mail to Danny in Chicago this morning asking him if he felt it. I'm sure he did. I heard it was a BIG rattle, 5.2 but not much damage doen. Thank goodness!

I thought it was dear old hubby trying to wake me up - but he was in the shower. He said it was a weird shaky feeling for just a few seconds.

I felt somethng last night too!! I thought that maybe it was going to storm, or that the wind was picking up, but then it went away after a few seconds. My windows were rattling like CRAZY!!

Oh my! Does any one know if Donna is alright? The quake was centered very near Evansville, Indiana, where she lives. Gosh, Miss Wilma, I can't believe you felt it, too...to my knowledge, we didn't up this way. Indianapolis did, so I'm going to check in with my sister in law today.

I woke up and thought sweety had put laundry in and it was on the spin{my front loader really "rocks" the house"}:).
Then I realized he was in the shower. I was really suprised. I remember only one other time of feeeling a quake in Indiana.
