Our SIL called this morning to say that our oldest daughter had spent the night in the hospital in labor and they expected their baby to be born this afternoon. She is due April 25 - well, he called back about 1 pm and said Hunter Robert has arrived. Mother and baby doing well - he joins brothers Dalton and Garett, ages 4 and 2. We will be traveling to see the new little one tomarrow morning - they live in Mukilteo, about 2 hours from here. Can't wait to meet him!!

We just got back from visiting the new little one - what a sweetheart!! The two older boys weren't home yet from the friend's house where they stayed while Mom was in the hospital, so they hadn't met the new little brother. They arrived home while we were there and had completely different reactions. The four year old, Dalton, the "wild child", took one look and slapped his forehead, then wanted to look in the gift bag we had brought him. The two year old, Garett, was SOOOOOOOOO sweet!! He crawled up on the couch next to the new baby and very gently leaned over and kissed him on the cheek and then spread his own blankie over the baby. His tenderness almost made me cry!! He is such a sweetie! He is, however going through a stage where he only likes men. When we left, my SIL told him "Garett - give grandpa a hug and a high five" which he promptly did. Then Chris said "OK, now give grandma one". He took one look at me and said "No, thank you." Nothing like feeling really loved!!LOL Anyway, baby is cute as a bugs ear and has good color, skin, and all his fingers and toes. Our daughter is exhausted so we didn't stay long, but, FUN DAY!! Thanks for all your well wishes!!
