Posted - Apr 11 2008 : 07:36:39 AM Good Morning All,
I received my very first package from MJ Farms yesterday.
After reading MJ's thread about how things have dramtically slowed down, I decided that I was long overdue in ordering and sampling some of her foods.
Well, I got my box yesterday of an assortment of things like brownies, chili, a few task bars, some budget mix etc. kind of a smattering of things.
And lo and behold there's a lovely note inside from MJ saying it looked as if I was a fan of chocolate so she'd put in a few "extra" goodies that she thought I'd like!
I was overwhelmed by her generosity. The chocolate bars were to die for they were so good and there were a few other surprise things she's popped in my box to try too!
I enjoyed everything I ate yesterday, which was the chili and the chocolate almond/coconut bar (the whole thing!) and decided then and there that I'd like to do gift baskets for my family this coming christmas with a smattering of MJ foods inside.
I will continue to buy her products and am excited about branching out and trying more of her items next time. Hmmm, I need new bath towels.
What are your favorite foods as well as other MJ products?
I'd love to hear and it'll help me choose what to buy next!

Posted - Apr 11 2008 : 5:23:57 PM Hi Sherri, For the life of me I can't remember. Frannie, Miss Wilma? Do you recall which thread it was where MaryJane talked about how much things had slowed down?
I'll keep looking.

Posted - Apr 11 2008 : 5:21:00 PM Hi Katie, Yes it's been a big idea of mine for a while. I'd like to open a little tea house, kind of L.A. style, aka zen-country girl. LOL! I'd like to open it in the Lincoln Square area. It's a ways off maybe 2 years or less but I'm gearing up for it! Are you near by? It would be lovely to have a friend when I make my move.

Do you think when I open my little tea house in Chicago, that I can sell MJ's foods in my little store section? Wouldn't that be AWESOME!?
Linder -- Are you really opening a tea house in Chicago??? I'm nearby! I'll go to your shop . . . do you have a plan?

Posted - Apr 11 2008 : 1:58:42 PM Hey girls...I finally put in my order. I ordered the calendar, notecards, and chocolate bars for hubby. I was thinking about ordering some of the food stuff, but doctor put me on sodium restrictions. It all looks very yummy and from what you guys said. Now I just got to wait like an excited kid waiting for Christmas morning like Linda mentioned. :)

Posted - Apr 11 2008 : 1:25:21 PM Thanks Alee!
From your list I have (but haven't tried yet) the jambalaya bare burrito mushroom couscous
I also ordered the chili, which was good but I think I need to put less water in it, it was kind of runny.
AND I think I'll try the: eat your veggies pasta (that looks yummy) potato soup
This is great. Just like Christmas. That chocolate, almond & coconut candy bar is something I'm going to have to stock up on!

Oh the Chocolates really ARE to die for! They are sooo ooo ooo yummy! In fact I kept buying them over the winter meaning to give them as gifts- but somehow they kept getting gobbled up. hmmm...I wonder who could have done that?! teehehehe
Oh I absolutely adore the Scones with Orange and Walnuts. They are at least as yummy as the chocolate.
I also really like the following: http://products.maryjanesfarm.org/pfoshop/product.asp?dept_id=229&ProductID=41002 http://products.maryjanesfarm.org/pfoshop/product.asp?dept_id=231&ProductID=43005 http://products.maryjanesfarm.org/pfoshop/product.asp?dept_id=231&ProductID=43005 http://products.maryjanesfarm.org/pfoshop/product.asp?dept_id=233&ProductID=43502 http://products.maryjanesfarm.org/pfoshop/product.asp?dept_id=234&ProductID=44011 http://products.maryjanesfarm.org/pfoshop/product.asp?dept_id=239&ProductID=46002 http://products.maryjanesfarm.org/pfoshop/product.asp?dept_id=239&ProductID=46003 http://products.maryjanesfarm.org/pfoshop/product.asp?dept_id=239&ProductID=46004 http://products.maryjanesfarm.org/pfoshop/product.asp?dept_id=241&ProductID=46206 http://products.maryjanesfarm.org/pfoshop/product.asp?dept_id=289&ProductID=46501 http://products.maryjanesfarm.org/pfoshop/product.asp?dept_id=289&ProductID=46506 http://products.maryjanesfarm.org/pfoshop/product.asp?dept_id=243&ProductID=46606 http://products.maryjanesfarm.org/pfoshop/product.asp?dept_id=243&ProductID=46604
