zan .. my hair was so long (and wavy) that when i bleached it .. i would get 'dread locks' (or rat's nests as my nannie usta' say!) couldn't even get my fingers through it unless i put a gallon on 'conditioner' on it and combed and combed it!

i cut it about a year ago .. i loved the 'gypsy' look .. but i was starting to look like a 'demented' gypsy! sometimes i like it .. sometimes i don't. it's HO YALLER right now .. and needs a little more red or darker streaks in it .. one cuz the ROOTS are DARK and are coming in gang-busters .. and two .. it makes me look a little washed out!

i'm starting to let it grow again .. but will probably (not at my age!) let it get down the middle of my back again.

somehow .. all this 'bleach' has pulled some of my natural 'wave' out of it and is more 'flat' than i like most times.

i used to actually get it 'permed' .. then i reeeeeeeeeeely liked my 'curls'!

hey .. i was creating little Sophie Elizabeth (who will be coming to live with you .. cuz' you were the first momma at the orphanage door!) when reading your magazine.

we jus' got home from dinner (chinese) and the movie (leatherheads .. cute .. but not an academy award winner!) .. then we hit the grocery store .. soooo NOW .. i gotta' go put away groceries. will get back to the other articles late tonight or tomorrow morning. you are doing a great job with it!

Ms Frannie (Kentucky)...you are too sweet! Wait, I wanna see a picture of your hair now :)

My momma was born in a tiny town called Poroslo...which is 4 hours from Budapest by train (or, at least, that's what I remember). Yes, she has a wonderful way about her and I am glad she is my momma :)

Awww....shucks guys! You ladies know how to make a girl's day! Well, I love the hair but it's getting too funk-dified. My poor mother gets a heart attack, I don't think she thought her "little girl" would end up dread-headed!

Anyhow...well, I am thinking of taking the magazine "live" but it's very expensive to print them here in NYC. I am looking at online printer alternatives. But, I don't know who would be interested in subscribing to this type of thing, even if it was quarterly or bi-monthly. Feel free to post here or email me if you'd like to subscribe. Maybe $6.oo an issue...or, umm, less if I can find advertising? Please let me know...sort of an informal poll.

I am so humbled at the responses. You all really make it rewarding for me :)

Ms. Frannie...I sent some responses out for your job suggestions..lets see what goes on :) Thank you again!

lovely! lovely! so far .. i've sat still long enough (t'ween running between the garden and dolly-makin'!) and read that sweet, adorable, darlin' Texas Frannie's article! (i love that we share our name and kindred souls!) ... i do see a BOOK in her bunny 'tales'!!! i can hardly wait until she has time to make one to come live at Freedom Valley Farm! there are many 'midnight visitors' with soft, fluffy tails that would love to have a new friend!

zan .. i also read your 'about us' page .. you are a cutie pie! your hair reminds me of mine before i chopped it off! absolutely nuthin' wrong with big city hair .. i love it!!! and WHERE in Hungary was your mom born? our darling daughter, Wednesday married into a large and wonderful Hungarian family. I love their traditions and family values. We are so blessed to have them as part of our family now!

i hear dollies calling my name .. but i'll get to more of 'big farmer' soon!

xo, kentucky frannie

what i did was go to the town newspaper and looked in the classified want ads.
they were listed there . but no info about how to apply , no contact info at all. then i went to the site. there is no mention there of needing help.
they are looking for someone who like to work with plants, and would like to work in the butterfly house. i have been there years ago with my mom.
if i were you i would email from the site, or call and inquire if they are still accepting resumes.
okay, now i am sounding like a mom......sorry.

Yay Frannie, that is very sweet. I got the first one for Wild Seed...but I went to their site, and I don't see the job posting. Is it just that you know someone there who needs workers? The place looks gorgeous!

I'll start my job hunt up again tomorrow..just having to tie up the loose ends of the magazine and some other things :)

Thank you again :)

What a great article about Miss Frannie, Zan...she is a true treasure, I believe. So eloquent and her descriptions of the bunnies lives and loves and desires, well, she's just truly a kindred spirit. Thanks for giving us a little "more" of her!
