what a glorious spring-time day! i can't even remember the cold chilly winds and temperatures!

BIRDFEEDERS

washed and painted all the birdfeeders forest GREEN ... i'm going to plant wildflowers and sunflowers around the birdhouse feeder pole!!

===========

honey hunk and i spent most of the day in the yard .. planning gardens .. hank finished hauling everything up from the gulley that was dumped there over the years. tsk! tsk!

HAMMOCK
he clipped back brush and put up the hammock too (we then .. took a little snooze-ette together!)

have to get some more red and green paint to re-paint that little table and chairs set .. it is soooo nice to have breakfast or lunch out here near the gardens!

hi miz linda .. wish you lived closer .. i'd take you to Cathy (Cobblestone's) wonderful farm ... MaryJane visited when she was here .. Cathy is such a kind and loving soul .. and oh so BEAUTIFUL .. inside and out! you would adore here farm shoppe! those are pretty big for mailing .. but come visit and get one!!

i jus' came in from the yard .. finished cleaning out all the 'planters' .. scrubbin' 'em clean in preparation for summer's bounty!

BEAUTIFUL KENTUCKY DAY! but i do have to break the rhythym and head for town to pick up a few thingies.

thanks for the sweet words .. i adore spring .. and am even looking forward to summer .. even though it can be quite HOT here! we have the 'outdoor shower' that i can jump into at any time! it's already hooked up and hank took his first outdoorsy shower yesterday after his daily 'run in the forest'.

Mornin' Frannie,
I LOVED your yard and thought that bucket that your friends Dad made was SO cute. I want one! I envy that big quiet yard of yours and you have a crick too? Ahhhh.

lisa .. the birdfeeder is right by our back porch .. and we can see it through the kitchen door (which is glass) .. i don't like the idea of a 'glass door' on a log cabin (but it is on the 'addition connector' .. AND .. i can view the birds from it .. honey hunk and i have a morning ritual .. of having coffee and conversation on the back porch and watching the birds and revelling in the forest that surrounds us.

cathy darlin .. i didn't know your dad had surgery .. glad he is mending well!

will you be open today? i was thinking of roaming to your farm .. if not .. i can come tomorrow. xo

Mornin' Frannie, Your yard looks great - was the weather not absolutely splendid yesterday? Looks like another "fantabulous" one today - headed to the greenhouse right now. Thanks for talking about daddy's flower lift. He is recovering well from his shoulder surgery and has started blacksmithing again. I know he is anxious to get busy. Have fun in the sun today! Your place is an absolute gem - peaceful and beeeaUUUUtiful! Cathy

Frannie, your grass is so green and cushy-looking. I'll bet it's soft enough to lay on without anything underneath you. I really like your bird feeders on the pole. The one you're going to plant wildflowers and sunflowers around? I like that idea so much, I just might put one of those in my back yard. Then, the seeds that the birds drop won't matter if they're falling in a wildflower/sunflower bed. It'll just be more of the same sprouting up! Thanks for the new idea.

some geraniums that i 'dasn't' leave outside nighttimes .. jus' yet!

====

i just love this 'bucket' plant holder that sweet
cathy cobblestone's dad made! if you live near-by ..
be sure to stop at her darling shoppe and get one for
your yard!

============

a little plant shelf .. sometimes at night i put candles on here
(in glass containers .. sure don't want that cabin to go up in flames!

springtime project .. have all the 'painted' wood on the outside of the cabins (NOT the olde logs though, of course!) get a fresh coat of paint .. it will hide these furring strips .. with kathy sugarbucket and family put here to keep the 'critters' from nesting between the cracks of the boards!

GREEN is the color of springtime
and if it stands still .. it will probably get a coat!
