Posted - Apr 06 2008 : 12:57:00 PM This morning promised to be a dreary cold day, but while the sky is mostly over cast, the sleet has stopped and a little sunshine is peaking through.
I can't help but think how happy I am here at this juncture in my life. I have a loving husband who is working really hard every single day to provide for his family, I have a beautiful bright and loving daughter who makes each new day an adventure, and I have you wonderful ladies to share my trials and tribulations with.
My living room is surrounded by trees and I can hear new baby birds chirping for their mama. And I got some laundry done before church this morning so I feel productive already.
So right now, today, is perfect and it gives me a sense of hope and anticipation for all the wonderful things yet to come.
I hope every one has a beautiful day too!

Posted - Apr 07 2008 : 02:36:51 AM I'm so happy that you are so content, Alee. Today, er yesterday, was one of those weird weather days here. One minute it's snowing, next the sun is out. Rain, sleet, sun shines WHILE it is snowing. You know how it gets. I have lots of things sprouting and I got all the flower beds cleaned up and got the new rock path half done today. DH will finish it tomorrow while I'm at work.
At least with spring showing it's face, he's finding things to do and not being such a pest. I swear, he's like a 10 year old when he's laid off. "I'm bored...what is there to do?". Every day. Sometimes, several times a day. He's actually learned a lot about car repairs this winter and has done a lot of the work himself with a friends' help. That's a big deal for him. We usually took the vehicles in to our mechanic if it was more complicated than changing a tire or adding oil or antifreeze. But I really like that he's learning how to do it himself. It's been good for him.
