Jus and I went over to Tractor Supply last night to get some fencing stuff and some other spring gardening needs. I like their barn type water hose, and we needed a new one, so that was on my list. I kept mentioning the hose all day and told Jus on the ride over "don't let me forget to look at the hose"...

Shopping with him is hard, so I keep organized with my list--he's VERY distracting. So while I walked around, marking things off the list, he must have taken his own initiative, because when I caught up with him and the cart, I said, "what are those?" Looking at two different types of garden H-O-E-S...."You've been rattling on all day about these, how not to forget them, so I just grabbed them up--which one do you want?"

I laughed and said, "H-O-S-E!!!! not H-O-E-S!!!!".

An older gentleman overheard our exchange, laughed and said, "Son, you might as well realize it out now--she's got it all under control and you'll never be so lucky!!",patted Jus on the shoulder and walked away.

Maybe even some extra brownie points for him NOT bringing up those "other" hoes...

He surely does, Jo. I am still chuckling over how confident he was in putting those garden hoes in the cart. Too cute!

He did...actually, he's been told this before time and again from older uncles and his grandfather...."just let her go and she'll take care of the world!".

He is a good helper, but like I said, he can be VERY distracting, which is why he doesn't come to the grocery :) I'd end up with 10 kinds of cookies and a bunch of juice!

That is too funny Jonni! At least he was being a sweetheart and trying to help! That old man sounds like a gem! What did Jus do after that? Did he look poleaxed?

Hmmm... phonetically speaking, he could have picked up at least one other thing! Be glad it was H-O-E-S!! (I bet that girl woulda been a-screamin' when he stuck her in the cart though. Heh heh.)
