Well, otherwise, it would have gotten to depressing! So, would YOU like to have a dread headed, hippy, dancing, artsy, writing, animal loving friend in YOUR town, and do you know of any cool jobs? You could win $150, $200, or $300!

Check out the details: http://bigtownfarmer.blogspot.com/2008/04/back-in-saddle-again-contest.html

Also, why not look into a botanical garden there in NYC. You could get some experience that way.

Zan, didn't know if you had been here yet, but there looks like some good jobs listed there.

I've been watching the papers for opportunities around here (Kentucky). I'm hoping a great opportunity comes your way.

Oh, honey, I know it's not easy for you...If you want to leave the area you are living in I'm sure there are enough ladies around that can pull together to at least get you on your way...

Sometimes the only way to answer a question or calling in life is to stare it in the face and just make the best decision you can at that moment and go with it..sometimes with a lot of risk involved....never ignore your intuition..things can always be changed and that's the upside to life!!

The hardest part is spreading your wings for the flight....who knows all of this pondering on your part may very well cause the right thing to reveal itself to you.

Yes, Mary Jane's way of living would be a great adventure but I have to agree after pondering what Frannie has said about being young, single and very talented....Austin is a happening area and a hop skip and jump if you want to be rural...best of both worlds.

I have officially adopted Zan...I think she's the daughter I never had...between us this sweet young lady can find a new adventure in life that will bring happiness and prosperity...

ok. i do have to say.
i am not a young woman, i'm not even a healthy old woman.hehehe,
but if i were a young woman, and i didnt already have children and a family, i think moving to idaho and committing to maryjanes farm would be a wonderful experiencs.
if i tried to visit maryjanes farm at this point i think someone would have to be in charge of draggin me in from the fields at nite to make sure no cywoodies got me. course they might just want to leave me out there!
good nite ladies

I am adopting you guys! Well...*ahem* now it's up to Mary Jane to see who suits her farm, since it is indeed a most special place :) I'd certainly love to work there but, I'll be happy if anyone just appreciates my wacky way of doing things :)

Frannie, I'm so glad I spoke with you! You are a dear! Wait, ok, I got your email...did you get mine?? Ha! It is the never ending saga of our emails!! :)

heather, i think texas is nice too, spoke with zan today and tried to "speak the truth to her." it is her life to decide what she will do, but if i were a young woman with her talents i would look to austin or central texas.
my part of texas is beautiful and suits me just fine, but i wouldnt want to be here if i were young or single or ....i dont know, i think there would be a lot of possibilities in the austin area.
of course, if you read stephanies suggestion it is better than coming to texas.
what farmgirl wouldnt want to move to idaho and work for maryjane?
the good news is zan has a lot of talent and possibilities and i think she is just on the verge of finding something that is just right for her!

I would highly recommend Texas myself. San Antonio and Austin are booming. Austin is on the crazier side of life but if that is for you, I say go for it!! I will look around here and see what is happening.

Cheers,
Heather
