So I get this phone call to come look at the antiques a sweet elderly lady had. I walk in and am amazed. I bought Eastlake furniture, teapots and four pieces of Roseville. I loaded up the breakables in what I thought was a strong box. As I went to put them in the back seat of my truck, suddenly the bottom of the box fell out! Yipes! It broke two of the pieces of Roseville. The small one can be repaired, but the other was completely smashed. Luckily the two largest were fine, but I nearly cried in her driveway. Of course I had already paid, so I simply had to move on. It was still a great day of finds, but how sad to break these wonderful antique Roseville pieces. Just wish there was someone to blame . . . besides a piece of cardboard! When I yelled at the box, it didn't even make a peep! LOL!

Hugs & blessings,

Brenda

Brenda,
How sad and mad that must have made you. Its just an awful feeling isn't it? You just don't know what to do, jump up and down, kick the car, jump on the darn box, I would probably cry. Our car is fairly new I wouldn't want to kick it.
Richard dropped a box once that had some old milk glass in it, I was a little upset, he seemed fine. Well anyway, sorry about your mishap, hope your feeling better now.

Oh No Brenda! Can your husband make you a special wooden box for breakables?
