Well most of you know about my cousin, Bethany that was killed April 2, 2004 by a drunk driver. She was going to a movie with her boyfriend at 8:20 at night and they were on their way when a drunk driver crossed 2 of his lanes and hit them head on and hit 3 times. She was blessed to have gone fast (brain stem snapped) but her injuries were horrible (similar to princess diana's) The boyfriend was crippled, the drunk walked away, his passenger also drunk is functioning on a 3 year old level. The drunk driver after a YEAR he finally was sentenced to 6 years max and prob serve 3-4 and do community service for 2. My cousin was 19 and getting ready for college. She had had her earthly demons struggling with bipolar disorder amongst other problems. She had chosen the wrong path in life but made a 180 and was going to help people that were going through her problems. She also helped the police with catching drugdealers etc. undercover. Her life was cut so short but we know the good lord called her back when she was on a ultimate high on life. I just had to share. I feel it is my duty to share her story. Some day some how I want to start an organization in her name. Something that I do ask is a prayer for her family. My auntie took a day off of work today because it is still raw and real for her. We celebrate her life but also mourn her loss, that is just us.

I'm so sorry about your cousin. Please know that I am thinking of you today. I will say a prayer for her family. Thank you for sharing that story with us. Drunk driving is a major concern everywhere and the penalties for it are not severe enough. God Bless Bridget.
