Good Morning,
I have had trouble with my photos lately, but here goes.

I just wanted to share this with you.
The water wheel is finished and next will be getting the creek ready for the water wheel.

Our plans are to move the wheel to the creek in the next couple of weeks.
We hope to try and generate electricity some day from the water wheel.

Thanks Shelia.
Well Jonni, just email me when you head this way. I am between Augusta and Macon. I am about 2 hours south of Lithonia. Maybe the water wheel will be going by then. That would be fun to have a farm girl get together soon.

That may be an option, Pam--my aunt and Uncle are always asking me to come down and they live in Lithonia, GA. Don't know where that is to you, but it's in Georgia, right? :)

Thanks Lisa and Jonni. I do have a video option, but with this dial-up I am on, it is hard to upload videos. You all may just have to head south and see it in person.(well, except the Flordians, you can head north.)lol..

Pam, that's sooo wonderful! I'm really proud of him, too!!!! Like Lisa, I'm looking forward to seeing it in action (does your camera have a video option?).

Those are some good-sized relics. Your water wheel looks great. You have good reason to be proud of dh. He did a wonderful job. And good for you to make it yourself and find green ways of producing what you need. Looking forward to the photos after installation.

Thank-you all. I am so proud of my husband. You would just have to see him in action to believe how hard he works(yes, I just have to brag on him a little here).
I will have pictures of getting it to the creek and setting it up. Soon, I hope.
Here are a few pieces of the original water wheel we have found in the creek. The long wooden beam was inside the bank at the creek where the original wheel was, also.

My husband and father-in-law, looking the relics over.

Have a great day!
