Aw that was kinda cute, the way you wrote it, not making fun but cute. I can relate. You never know what will happen instead, sorta like my gf was dating a guy who was a loser (I could go on and on) anyway he committed suicide with his gf now....thank god she got outta that! I know that's extreme but it will all come together. I am at a crossroads myself. luv ya!xoxo

Zan, you go to www.cornell.edu and there's a tab for "Jobs" or "Careers" right on the home page. I think you'll spot this job right away. It has "writer" in the job title and it was only posted last week so it's on page 1 or 2 of the listings. If you have trouble finding it let me know.

Amie, you are dear! Wait, I have to figure out where it was listed. I remember the last time you mentioned something like this, but when I went to the Cornell site, I couldn't find the posting. I'll try again...thank you so much everyone, I am so humbled!

I'm sorry the NC job fell through. If it makes you feel any better, I spent 4 years working as a temp in lousy office jobs because I wanted the college to hire me so I could take art classes (no money for tuition). I finally gave up and found a job somewhere else. Doesn't come with free art classes, but it does pay me enough to live on and I just saved up enojgh to buy a really nice digital camera. I guess my point is that it's possible to get too obsessed with making your plans work out the way you think they ought to.

I know you mentioned before that you were interested in Ithaca. I checked the Cornell website, and they have a brand new job listing for a writer (more journalistic than academic). Basically, they want someone to promote the activities of the research library - write articles about all the great things they are doing. I know this is a desk job, but it is using your skills and puts you in Ithaca, where there are all kinds of hippy agricultural things going on. Might be worth a look?

Zan, I'm sorry that NC job didn't work out. I'm hoping that a great opportunity will come your way soon. One that suits you and makes you happy.
