shirley jean .. ef'fen you want a little sweet annie .. i'll be happy to send you a package! (i have NOT had luck scattering the seeds .. it comes up on it's own where-ever it has a mind to!) the plant can be planted fairly successful though. i can't find it here in kentucky ... cuz' it's considered a WEED! perhaps i have not looked far and wide enough! usually, friends will dig some up if i'm cryin' the blues cuz' i haven't seen any in my own yard. it seems to come up gang-busters EVERY OTHER YEAR!
THIS SHOULD BE THE YEAR!!!

Posted - Mar 30 2008 : 5:56:56 PM I loved your photo sweet Nancy! You are a pretty gal!
And you know, I do not know what sweet Annie smells like, but it must be good as everyone raves about it all the time. And it must be easy to grow, as everyone all over the country has it. I have never seen it at the nursery. Hm......maybe it is not for Florida.

Posted - Mar 30 2008 : 5:09:17 PM I know you sure look younger than I do!!! I love Sweet Annie too..and got some to grow from seedlings sent to me by a farmgirl two years ago. My little patch was bigger last year...re seeded I think. I am hoping for a crop again this year. It has such a nice primitive antique smell and always reminds me of my favorite places. Loved the picture.

Posted - Mar 30 2008 : 2:35:45 PM Nancy jo, wwhat a nice picture, you don't look a day over thirty, must be all that thrift shopping, and Richard looks great as well. Poor wobegone Jack and Dave, holding a vigil for warmer weather.. I know how they feel, though it was mild and sunny here today. I'm going to have to look up ssweet annie on the internet, I'm intrigued. The most wonderful smelling plant we have in Maine is sweet grass. The Penobscot and Micmac Indians make the most beautiful smelling baskets, but it is in short supply. Sorry, I tend to blather....karin
