update: due to a few things..I decided not to accept the position.
thanks though gals for all the support. I at least know that I can handle going through the interview process again..but I'm going to look elsewhere than this position.
--------

so..I applied at our local Kmart..just a few blocks away from my house..about a mile actually...for a part time job working in the garden department.
Wish me luck!!

Hey there Tina. Good luck with your gardening job search. I worked at a greenhouse while in high school and that was always fun working with people and telling them what to plant in gardens, etc.

Let us know how the kmart position goes. :)

Good luck to you sweet Tina!! what a great place that would be to work!! I KNOW I couldn't work in a nursery, book store or fabric store and ever expect to come home with any cash on payday though..heeehee. I hope you are stronger than me. I would want to adopt every single sorry little plant. And hey..Nancy Jo is right..if not Kmart...there are other garden centers. You will do great!

Good for you Tina!! If not K MART, then maybe another garden center. I think it would be almost fun to work in a place like that, all those plants around.
