Alright, I'm going to head up to the auction at the top of my street tomorrow evening and needed some auction etiquette....
I looked at the listing and there's some pretty cool stuff, but I don't know if I'll bid or not--I may just observe and see what happens. Now, on to the questions!!!
The auction listing says "No Buyers Premium". What does that mean?
When I arrive, do I have to register or sign up or anything?
They accept checks, cash, and all major credit cards, so that's not a big deal, at least there are options for payment (IF I bid  )
Hey Miss Wilma and Janice, look at these dolls that are on the auction...one I recognize as a Skokum Indian Doll--my mom has one that she bought in an antique shop in New Mexico :)

PS-It's almost impossible to avoid paying a buyer's premium around here any more. I don't know when that idea took hold, but it's here to stay, apparently. :(

Hope you went and had a good time! The Skookum is cute. The largest china head looks like a reproduction. I hope you didn't buy it. I can't tell about the one with the blue outfit, but the legs look old. I like the parian head one(blondie, of course)-the bisque like finish-if she was cheap enough-she does need legs. I wish I could see the tiny one with the bonnet better-she has potential if she's old. And I wish I could make out the whimsical little creature in red.....I can't see her face or tell what she's made of. Next time, if they have a website, tell me earlier and I'll check it all out. Tell us about any goodies you scored! ;)

Jonnie some of the dolls need parts but I can tell you where to find them if they go reasonable

Jonnie am auction is a percentage tacked on to your final bid for an auction,That means if the percentage is 10 percent of final bid you have to pay that much more for your puschase, I do not attend this kind of auctions.Is the auction on the internetI would love to see what they are sellingand probably give you some tips there, Love ya little one
