Are you a travel planner or are you just a pack and go kinda gal? I like to just pack what we need- essentials- and drive somewhere. But, if we do take a more planned vacation, as in leaving the state or flying somewhere, I still am a fly by the seat of my overalls when I get there. How about all ya'll??

Cheers,
Heather

I love to ramble...hubby & I say "I feel like a lark, don't you?", and we head out.

I will sing at the top of my lungs, and I will dance even if I'm the only one...

I'm like Kate. I'm a planner, too, and can't quite drop into the gypsy-mode I admire.

I get it from my Daddy...we went to Disney World when I was young, and he carried a Franklin Planner with him! "Ok girls, we have a five-minute potty break, and then fifteen minutes to stand in line at the Dumbo ride, then we need to be at the Hoop-de-Doo Revue by 6:00...."

I am a planner.
I would love to be more "tumbleweed" but the inner anal-control freak in me wouldn't be able to handle that.

When I was younger, I was more of a free spirit, but that has bit me in the tukus too many times.
So now I probably over plan, and plan for emergancies.
Like going to the lake for the weekend, I pack too much food, and have a first aid kit, extra sun screen, bug repelant, sleeping bags etc. Even though I know there is all of this stuff already at the cabin to use.
I even have check lists for the cabin and for when my DD and I work at the Ren Fest. Just to make sure I have everything. Lucky for me a lot of the stuff I use at/for the lake, I use at the Ren Fest as well.

Don't miss out on a blessing, just because it isn't packaged the way you expected. ~MaryJo Copeland

When my DH and I go traveling I study where we are planning on going, (I love to research anything) Make a tentative itinerary, make sure we have our GPS Zumo, we pack one duffel for the two of us and off we go. We do not usually follow what I have planned as other things pop up and we are go with the flow people. Or the weather changes and on a motorcycle you need to be ready to change plans or directions in a moment unless you like getting wet or snowed on. We do use computers and visitors info places and even talk with locals at a restaurant or local bar and ask them what to see. I have done the same in many of the countries I have traveled to. The hardest was Italy. But I think if you know a bit of Spanish it would be a bit easier. But I do have to say every place I have ever been I have enjoy and met the most wonderful people.

I think im a gypsy at heart.
I love just packing a bag and going, no reservations
Went throught Australia and new zealand like that, and alaska. Have never had any trouble finding a place to stay.
Now am not doing that in Italy next month, not knowing how to speak the Italian, it would be harder ,but do able.
I hate time schedles.

we pack and go. In fact that is what we are doing on Saturday. We are on spring break as of 3:10 tomorrow! We will just see where the road takes us. Once half the budget runs out we start heading back!

I'm somewhat in between. When my nanny family took me to Rome I read everything I could because I didn't know if I'd ever get back there so I wanted to see as much as I could. I also went with the idea to go with the flow too so that if something came up that I wanted to do, that I didn't plan, I would just do it. For the most part I like to have a little of an idea on where I'm going but I'm generally ready to go with the flow too.
