Posted - Mar 20 2008 : 11:48:54 AM It blows my mind (so to speak) that after so many years, an ordinary March wind could knock over our outhouse. I really hate to lose it. It was a conversation piece, at least!
I posted some pics on my blog!

Posted - Mar 21 2008 : 08:43:19 AM We haven't decided what to do with it - I asked my husband last night and he's "pondering" what to do.
And don't feel bad - I laughed too!

Posted - Mar 21 2008 : 08:17:19 AM What a shame. Do you think it would hold together if you tried to right it back up on it's spot?

Posted - Mar 20 2008 : 4:22:15 PM I giggled without being able to stop when I read this. I remember stories my mom told of their outhouse long ago. Pranksters would come along and tip them over if they thought someone was inside!!! To have yours blow over - makes you wonder how those folks of long ago had any sanctity at all!!!!!
And when I was little, we visited my grandma every week-end, she still had an outhouse! Talk about stinky!!! It was a nightmare if you had to go in the middle of the night. It was either the cold and dark outhouse or a pail in the bedroom with a reverberating sound that could wake the dead when you piddled in it!!!
Anyway, sorry about your outhouse! Farmgirl Sister # 31
