I was sitting here watching the SEC Tournament game and saw the craziness with the possible tornado that hit the Georgia Dome and CNN building. It was rippling (like a water bed) on the roof and a huge piece of it flew off. The roof was shaking pretty bad, but it looks like everyone is safe.

I hope that things are safe for our Georgia farmgirls down there!!

I'm glad to hear that everyone is safe and sound. We had a couple of friends that were at the game during the mess. They are still awaiting word about refunds on their tickets for the UK games (only friends & family of ballteams were allowed for the remaining games), but they said that they are glad to be safe and no harm to them or their stuff while down there.

Karin, It is almost 5 here now and the sun us going in and out. My daughter lives in Buford near the Hall Co line and she had golfball size hail. She was a little scared...but all is well now. Glad your son and his house was good.
Hope all is finished for now.

Deborah- I'm glad that you fared well! I did see that there are more storms coming and we (in Henry Co.) are under a watch at the moment. I drove up to East Atlanta with a friend (to go to the Sevenanda Co-op) and thought it would be a good idea to check on my son's house. His is fine, in fact his street looks great. Just a bit down the road though, there are about six houses in a row, all with huge trees on top of them. Lots of trees down in that whole area. I know that Denise is right near there, hope she is ok!
Stay safe, little peaches!

We had bad storms last night here. The power was on and off. On now. We are about 2 hours from Atlanta. My Mother and other relatives live in metro Atlanta. They had power outages but all are fine. The weather channel is showing more storms this afternoon for here.

You can never have enough friends.

It's a mess downtown. We finally got power back on about an hour ago so that we can watch the news reports. So far, there are no fatalities, which is such good news. Lots of homes in the Vine City area were hit as well as lofts that were built in an old cotton mill. That was hit very hard. Lots of windows blown out of high rise buildings. etc. It is going to take a long time to get this cleaned up.
We live about 25 minutes south of the city, so nothing here other than the loss of power.
We'll be praying for those that were affected by this storm. It is not very often that we get tornadoes in the city, so this took everyone by surprise.

How did everyone else here in GA fare? Denise? Teddie? Amy? Rebekah? Pam? Hope you are all ok!
