The first robin’s egg, the first snow fall, scrunching your toes in the mud, scrunching your toes in the grass, knowing when to pick the best zucchini, snowy maned horses, old tractors, barn owls, singin’ with the coyotes, muck boots, fancy dresses, old tire swings, lauging out loud, new cowgirl boots, sitting out side and listening to peeper frogs, quilts, faithful hounds, making a good BBQ, knowing when it’s going to rain, having people oo and ahh at your garden. Barn cats, sunny spots, good books, rustic living, old barns, warm bread, rolled up shirt sleeves, the scent of new hay, porch swings, sweet tea, old country auctions, sun dried laundry, family, home, making do, living the way your spirit wants to, dew covered roses, the friendly greeting of chickens, mud, old jeans jackets, summertime’s lull, cock-a-doodle-dooooooo! Aprons, a first sign of spring, diggin’ new potatoes, bringing in the harvest, did I mention home is the heart? Puttin’ jam up, warm milk on a frosty morn, goat kids, a warm hug and welcome. Cold spring water, old timey feeling things, lace, trusty garden tools, our wits, cream on top, the first buds, the last leaves, barn coats, tabby cats, crows, simple things and antique beds

Wanna help me here?

Hearing the springtime peepers (which started in our pond & sound grand!)

Picking roadside wildflowers, talking to the robins, kneading dough, sewing on a button, making things 'from scratch', pretty tea towels, wreaths on the door and flowers in the pots, sleeping outside, picnics, listening to AM radio, collecting eggs, cosy kitchens, shabby chic, baskets and buckets, always learning, a good friend.

worn out levis that still are your favorite to wear, sweet old feedsack quilts, rocking chairs that squeek and old wood floors that squeek, 8 day clocks that chime on the hour, braids in your hair, especially when tied with a piece of homespun, taking time to snuggle with those you love, a great old classic book, stoking the woodstove with wood, long walks down windy country roads, making something from nothing, playing old time gospel music, baking an apple pie, finding the first flowers of spring, watching the geese fly south (or for some odd reason Northeast this year! LOL!) making our families feel like they are the most important people in the world. Having no use for words like "can't" and "impossible." Loving words like create, dream, explore, expand, believe and perserverance. Life isn't a rehearsal. True Farmgirls live in the moment and treat each day as a gift.

Hugs & blessings,

Brenda

Old cowboy boots--soles been replaced too many times to count, apple pie, rubber muck boots and baby chicks.
