I love this old mirror, it hung at the foot of the staircase at the farm I was brought up on."HOME" I would love to see the reflection of all those that passed by.
You also get a picture of me, and an embroidery that LEA wanted a better picture of.
I guess at the year 1850 because that is when the house was built and Grandma said it had always been there, where was it before I wonder?

What a treasure, Nancy Jo. That is exactly how I feel about old pieces that I have. When I hold an old quilt I wonder about the hands that stitched it. Or an old lamp and wonder about the lives that it brightened. I've never thought about the reflections of a mirror, but I can tell you that I'll never look at my grandmothers dressing table mirror the same way. Thank you. Your post has given me such a gift tonight!

Blessings, Lea

Nancy Jo - It's so great that you have lots of wonderful things from your family. Doesn't it make you feel connected and like all those relatives back there are not so 'distant'? And hello to you and dolly! Did you ever wish the mirror would sort of melt, like in Alice Through the Looking Glass, and you could find wonderland in there?

Miss Wilma, what a nice thing to say. And MB, wouldn't that be something if we could see all those that passed by.

That's a great thought about the reflections and passerbys in the mirror. What a story that mirror could tell. MB
