Miss Wilma, I am a recent addition to this site, and i am really enjoying meeting all the other farmgirls. Yesterday I got back issues of all the MJF magazines, and worked my way through one, which featured a lovely article about you. You are one amazing person, and one creative one as well. It is such a treat to see all the wonderful things and hear people's stories. I loved looking at alll the pictures on your website too. Karin

Miss Wilma, I love calico skirts, too. Don't have one yet but now that you say you have the fabric and make them, I'd like to know more!

Oh no, Wilma! I'm so sorry to hear about your daddy. Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you--I know I live far, but I'm sure thinking of you.

Miss Wilma, that's some wonderful stuff!!!! For some reason, here at work, I can only see small photos, but when I get home this evening I'll be able to blow them up so I can see all the details!!! You never know what I might find :). I'm saving my money for when you come in April to Burlington, though, so we can have a grand ole time!!!!

Miss Wilma,
Your shop is darling! I love the primitive dolls! Zan, I have a really unique washboard for sale in my shop. I just brought it in, but am so tempted to keep it. It is all hand carved . . . no metal. Just has thse great wood ribs for rubbing the fabric on and has the most amazing carved eagle at the top. It really is more of a piece of folk art than a utilitarian tool! I can try taking a pic of it if you are interested. I believe it dates to the mid to late 1800s. I am not sure what kindo of wood it is. I would say the finish is kind of a walnut finish. Miss Wilma I wish I was close enough to visit your shop in person. I need to get some good photos taken of my new little shop. I think of it as my giant playhouse! LOL!

Hugs & blessings,

Brenda

Miss Wilma, thank you so much, I mightily appreciate it...no hurry, take your time and look, I can imagine what you'd have to file through with so many great things. I am interested in washing with a wash board...I am trying to simplify my crazy, new-fangled city life!

Zan there are 6 large rooms in that house that is PACKED,I will ck what I have in wash boards and get back with you. There is a funny old drying rack it folds down to probably 30 inchs but when you pull it up it is on legs and has lots of drying rods on it, it is a very nice item, do you know the first home I had when I was first married I washed on a board for a year.

Ooh, Ms. Wilma....you have too many nice things. One question, though I don't see whether you have one, from the pictures---do you happen to have any wash boards? Maybe one in working order that might still be used to wash clothes? I was just wondering about that :)
