things have been kind crazy for me here lately. i wasn't able to keep that new job...there was a new policy made by the school district that nobody could hold two postions at one time (cook and after school care) so i had to start looking agian. my parents are helping me some, but i would like to be financialy independent so i am once again looking for a second job. i am about to put in an application for seasonal work at a local garden center and i've been offered two jobs for summer though the district.
school has been frustrating as i absoultly hate one of my classes. it is so boring! the text book was written 20 years ago and the teacher makes no allowances for major world events that would effect the topic (tourism). it is mostly outdated facts and figures. i am trying to bring my grades back up to a's to make me desirable to the schools i am interested in, but they seem to be firmly glued in the b position...i just need to put more time into it.
on the good side...it is almost spring break and the weather is beautiful! i am planning to take the kids to some state parks nearby for hiking and we are going to visit our local skating rink on the $1 skate night they have coming up. i also plan to get together with some friends next week.
i hope all of you are doing well, i pop in once in a while, but spend most of my time doing assignments. i have a big paper due after spring break that i really need to get moving on.

Aw Corinne!! Big hugs!!! I am honestly hating college right now too!! I am in my junior year and it is becoming very long paper oriented with at least 7 different resources...icky!! But I just keep peddling through and keep saying I am doing my best for where I am right now!! My GPA went from 3.8 to a 3.4 this past semester- (moving 6 times in a year tend to do that, along with a 2 year old, hubby in the military, etc, etc, etc....) I took a C in one class just to avoid any more arguments with the teacher. Even if I don't go on to my masters, I will be happy with all I have accomplished.
Just keep saying "I AM DOING THE BEST I CAN DO FOR WHERE I AM AT RIGHT NOW!!!" You are a great mom and you really are setting an example for your kids.
