I'm doing my first North American Trail Riding Conference on Friday. I'll be in Milton, FL at the Blackwater creek forest preserve. I'll be riding 20 miles on Sat and another 20 miles on Sunday. It's a timed ride but by no means do you have to come in first. It's all based on your horsemanship and how well your horse's condition is during the ride. There are several obsticals and pulse and respiration checks along the way. The pulse and respiration checks are to make sure your horse is not in distress or can continue on. Thing is I hurt my back two weeks ago (they say it's a strained ligament in the back nothing big). It is slowly recovering and I don't have to take the pain meds and muscle relaxants anymore for about a week now, but it is sore. I can't imagine how sore I"m going to be after 5-6 hours in the saddle. I just want to finish and I'll be happy. I'll let you know how it went and I'll try to remember to take pictures. I'm glad I have a Missouri Foxtrotter so at least my ride will be a little smoother on a gaited horse and I don't have to post or ride in a 2 point for 20 miles.

Good luck Ayako! I hope your back hurries up and gets healed for you! It sounds like having this horse has been a great thing for you and your family!
