Posted - Mar 06 2008 : 11:32:31 AM Hey Jennifer, That's a crate for transporting chickens. Grew up on a chicken farm. We used them all the time. They are popular items to use for tables now or just to decorate with. Yours looks like it is in great shape to! Denise~~

Posted - Mar 05 2008 : 10:18:19 AM okay, i'm not positive, but....i believe it is a cage for homing pigeons. when i was really little, we had a neighbor who would have us bring a few of his birds out to the country in a carrier like that. my dad would then open the top flap and they would fly back home to the coop. people who raise these birds actually take them to events and have races as to whose pigeon would get home first, and they'd win money!! |
