Posted - Mar 04 2008 : 07:25:44 AM It's only 10:15 am, and most of my work-work is done for today. Now I have to spend the next 4 hours and 45 minutes looking busy. Ugh. There's only so much Internet surfing a girl can do in a day, you know? I like my job, and I like my coworkers, but it can get monotonous. I'm the administrative assistant in the catering department of a country club. My job is almost completely task-driven, so once I'm done, I'm done. But I still have to stay; I can’t go home til 3:00. It's a slow week because Michigan State University is closed for Spring Break, and most of our clients are MSU affiliated. Same thing yesterday...a few brides bugging me, but that’s it. I wish I could go home. The house is a wreck, and the laundry needs doing. My house-work DEFINITLEY is not done for today!

Posted - Mar 04 2008 : 11:23:24 AM Does the country club have brochures or a website? Working on publicity stuff and keeping it updated always kept me busy. What about going through old files and purging through them or reorganizing them? I usually kept my filing in a stack and on days like you're having, I would work on it. Any major events or projects coming up? Maybe you can start on a few things with those projects so you are not bombarded later on.
