I got my care package from katmom this weekend! Is it ever a glorious treat! Here is a photo:

It included the lovely little apron book and a handcrafted apron bookmark (I have this thing for bookmarks and to have an "apron bookmark" is just wonderful!),
an old fashioned handkerchief (which I use), a little sachet of lavendar from her very own garden which is now in my pillow for sweet sleep, a wax tart, a handcrafted clip which is just lovely, a pretty ivory lace doily from England & and a pretty tea packet -- which I will enjoy while I read my book and sniff my lavendar and think of you and how blessed I am! The only thing missing was the sweet kitty, but I didn't figure you would share him anyway. LOL

Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Katmom! I'll be posting it all on my blog this week, too, but I couldn't wait to share it with all of you!

Blessings, Lea

Congratulations girls!
Grace, that picture of your hubby in the apron is one in a million. My husband would never ever agree to putting on my apron! Your kitty is so pretty too. I think I am debating maybe getting a C-A-T. Don't tell anyone here I said so though especially the d-o-g. SHhhh.

Thanks Katmom Grace.
Congratulations to you too Lea. I feel so special.
You just don't know, but that come at just the right time, Grace. I needed that. Rough week on the farm. We lost a calf, wild dogs killed one of my favorite goats(Beard),dogs chased me too.. So that special prize was just the pick-me up I needed. WE are indeed 2 lucky girls.

My oldest cat(Al is 23) will sit on an endtable in the sunroom and stare my dh right in the eye until poor david gets up and gives Al something to eat. And Al eats as many times a day as he can get someone to feed him! LOL!

Thanx Bev,
My late in life kitties keep me busy, & I am not just talking about cleaning 3 litter boxes everyday...add in a couple of hair balls, and water dribbles and well you get the picture.
Not to mention, they can be dead asleep, I will ever so quietly walk into the kitchen & look at a can of tuna & w/in 3seconds flat I have all 4 wrapped around my legs...I swear they are psyhic or psychotic! lol!

Happy Sunday Evening ladies,

Well tomorrow @ 5:30 is the deadline for any of you who have not had a chance yet but would like to have your name added to my vintage hat for the drawing.
Just go to my blog { www.katmom4.blogspot.com } and post a comment about "your" favorite apron.
I would have one of my kitties draw out a name, but alas, my kitties do not have 'thumbs' so I will have to wait till my darling hubby get's home @ 5:30, I will give him a few minutes to take off his boot's and catch his breath then I will have him draw a name out of my hat....(6:00pm WA.time)
Good Luck to those who will/have entered...
hugz,

Oh yes Grace, my mil has them shaved too. They do get matted underneath so she keeps them short in the summer. She has one I really like in particular. She is so beautiful and her name is Annalea pronounced (On-a-lee). Don't tell though because my husband thinks I don't like them but that's only because he doesn't. Annalea is very shy though so it is hard to get near her before she takes off. I will say the only thing I don't like is that their hair is everywhere and my dear mil lets them drink out of her coffee cup. Yuck!

i signed up....this sounds really fun! by the way, your kitties are really cute....i have two tuxedo kitties! mine run around the house chasing critters....being black and white they really stand out, but i guess they don't know that and can't figure out why they can never get close enough to catch anything!!
katmom Posted - Mar 02 2008 : 7:16:15 PM
oh my, they are the best! mine do not know that they are kitties, they think they are kids w/o thumbs!!!
We actually shave ours in the Spring and Summer. Bbut let them keep their long hair in the Fall Winter.
And yes they are spoiled rotten!
