Who's your pick to go home this week? I thought the guys were exceptional this week and the gals lagged behind. With the exception of Brook's "You're So Vain", I really didn't enjoy any of the women's performances. Really like little David's "Imagine" - almost brought me to tears!! Your thoughts?

Ya, it's the diva, over dramatic thing that bugs me. Not my cup of tea... but I don't think he'll be cut soon as many will go for his looks :-) And he attempted to be gracious and that will help him a lot I think :)

I only watch Idol to see what kind of crazy thing Paula Abdul will do next.

Second guy was Robbie Carrico - the rocker that the judges said wasn't believable.

Go, Brooke, go!!!
I love her!
I haven't become enamored of any of the guys yet.

I was kind of surprised that Alexandrea left instead of Amanda.
Who was the second guy cut last night? I missed it.

The overly dramatic thing is what bothers me - he seems totally egocentric.

I've known many like him too, hung out in bars with friends like him (assuming his qualities reveal who he is or not?)- that doesn't bother me so much as just him, I guess. Dramatic Divas get old after a while, because divas think that it's all about them. And I think he's like that. He is pretty, I'll give you that. He looked thoroughly shocked at being one of the two left standing last night, as if it wasn't possible for him to be cut (not that I found his performance to be dreadful last night, but just the thought that it couldn't happen to him...).

Danny doesn't creep me out at all, I guess I've just known too many like him and some are great fun. He's just another dramatic diva. What amazes me is how truly "pretty" he is though.
I'm anxious to see what Jason will do next week. I love his soft style of music and Brooke's too. But then that is just my taste. I do think that Carly will go along way, she does have an amazing voice. And then "little David"...well he's just too cute and the girls love him. Remember Sanjaya from last season...he lasted forever because the girls loved him. Only difference is, David can sing.

Speaking of the black haired boy, he is acting his age I suppose. He does creep one out..

I loved Brooke and the gal from Oregon who sang the Linda Rondstadt song and I LOVED the Imagine song.. he's the one to beat this year! Fantastic job.. very difficult to take on that song and score like he did! Very well done!!! I

Danny - the kid with the black hair creeps me out too. I also like Jason - dreadlock kid and Brooke - the Carly Simon gal.

I didn't really have any opinions one way or another about who got cut last night. I thought the rocker chic should have gotten cut. Her performance sucked so bad it was painful for me to watch. I definitely don't think the other girl was worse than her.

I am not impressed (one way or another) by the younger guy y'all like. I hate to hear someone change such a significant song as "Imagine," and that made me negate his performance. I know it's stickler in the mud of me, but there are some songs you shouldn't touch, and that's one of them.

I don't really like the kid with the black hair... Danny? I think he thinks he's more than he is. Also, he creeps me out with his certain qualities.

I like the kid with the dreadlocks (although he wasn't great this week), Chickese (spelling?), and the girl who sang Carly Simon.

I've been keeping up with the episodes. I think the reason why Alaina got the boot, even though she has a wonderful voice, is the fact that she acts, dresses, same hairstyle, and looks exactly like Carrie Underwood. I don't think folks wanted another lookalike. Granted, Kady is a little bit on the spoiled side and needs to put a smile on the ole face! However, I think how Alaina acted and demanded that she would not sing showed that she was a sore loser. Robbie the "fake rocker" got booted simply because he is not true to himself or others in what he sings..plus he's already had his shot.

Amanda is rocking, but her vocals get old. I did get a giggle over the Kansas song because it is on Guitar Hero. Then flipping through the radio channels it was on. After the song, the dj went "we just got word that this was on American Idol last night..sorry to say we failed you as a rock station." haha. I still think it would be very scary to have her as a nurse.

I still don't know I'm for in the contest...I think having the 60s & 70s theme really hurt some of the contestants and viewers watching. I wonder if they will continue to go through the decades or what. hmmm

Did anyone you watch Idol last night? The 17 year old girl Alaina got cut, and I think she was really shocked! She started out sobbing uncontrollably and said she couldn't sing her final song, but the other girls gathered round and she was able to pull it together. Also, the little sweetie Davie Archeletta was sobbing when someone else got cut and the other guys were comforting him. It was a really emotional night!

There are about 5 of the guys I really like and maybe 2 of the ladies. I've been hearing people say that this year has some of the best singers so far, but I'm not so sure. I do think the guys are doing better than the women so far, but that could change. There have been some very good performances but I'm having trouble getting excited about or drawn to any one person. I do like the two younger guys, Danny and David. Both have good voices and fun personalities. And Jason is just adorable, my mom says he reminds her of John Travolta with long hair. I think David Hernandez did a great job the other night and so did Chikezie. I've not really picked a favorite yet, I'll just keep watching and see how they do.

These were my favorites as well. I really don't care for the rocker chick and would like to see her out. David is amazing especially for his age. I would really like to see them doing folk music, where a pure natural voice would be neccessary instead of the belting and yelling. Kingston Trio, We Five, Peter Paul and Mary type music. Did I just date myself, really I'm only 53.

I would have to say those are my 2 favorites as well.
It wouldn't bother me seeing any of the rest going home. David's song was great. A lot of people don't like when you change those classics up a bit, but I think he pulled it off well.
