John Denvers songs are some of my fave to, even saw him in person a couple times.
I love getting a glass of ice tea or and Italian espresso and go sit under the unbrella on the deck and
spin yarn,
listen to our water fall thats in out fish pond,
watch the birds come to the feeders
the chickens are cluckin and are content sounding
just be outside with all the stillness and sounds that around our house.
I love being up on a mountain with no one around, except nature.
AWWWW I feel more relaxed just talking about it

Peanut, that's funny you should say that - when I read your blog, I sang in my head "ain't much an old country boy like me can't hack" (I think those are the words!) Never realized you did it on purpose!! Love it!

I love being in my flower gardens,we have two water gardens there with waterfalls, I love that.

Walking in our woods alone.

Peace and quiet while I am reading.

Actually when Im am really stressed, I will come here to this site and I relax right away.

Sitting and watching the water.

Spending quiet Sundays with my husband.

So many more just small everyday things.

Reading always works for me. It's almost as if I meditate when I read because I can look up from or finish a book and it's like I forgot where I was. I love that feeling!

I also love swimming. In the summer, I'll go over to our pond after the daycare kids leave and I feel sooooo refreshed and alive.

I have so many blessings in my life, and with that comes so much joy.
What relaxes me is knowing I have the freedom to enjoy my blessings.

Spending time w/my daughter.
Snuggling w/my kitties.
Any crafting.
Gardening, or day dreaming about my future garden.
Listening to classical music.
Getting together w/my girlfriends
Watching the Sun set.

I find doing things that are both creative and quiet are what I am drawn to . . . whether that be painting, quilting, refinishing furniture, etc. Also, I love walking my dog on country roads. Although we live in a neighborhood, I only have to walk a few blocks to be in open wheat fields, etc. so I walk and imagine that I actually live amongst the wheat fields, which hopefully someday will be true. I also enjoy reading and decorating.

Hugs & blessings,

Brenda

This is a good question - I realized that what relaxes me also makes me happy.

gardening on a cool sunny day
dancing
a glass of wine
reading
quilting
sitting on my back porch
taking a road trip, looking for antiques, with my hubby or daughter
bible study

After reading Lori's John Denver comment below, I remembered that his music and James Taylor's music can make me relax in a second's time. Thanks for the reminder, Lori! :)
