I was pondering, as I drove home from work today, what being a farmgirl means. We all know it is a condition of the heart so much more than the physical manifestation of being a woman (girl) who lives or works on a farm.

But I was thinking how amazing it is that so many women can come together on this site and talk about...anything! We might not always agree, but I think it is even more special that we can celebrate our differences and love and support each other even in our differences.

I have learned so much from each and every one of you. You have each inspired me to learn how to do more for myself and to make my life better in many ways.

So I want to thank you so very much, and I wanted to tell you how I appreciate each and ever one of you!

I was really proud of him, Alee. Last night I showed him the "Free Hugs" video that Tasha posted a bit ago, and I think he was crying :) He also cried a little on Sunday, over the last Extreme Home Makeover that was set in Louisville, Kentucky. It's like he's....me!

I totally agree, Alee, and thank YOU, too...and I think this forum and the things I take with me from you girls in my daily life affects others, including my husband. He's been really hard on the neighbor boy who rides (still) his four wheeler in the woods, on our property, in the street in front of the houses, etc...but tonight, after we talked about our day, and work stuff, I mentioned little Aria and some other things on the forum that have really touched me and once inside the house, when I put the dishes away, my husband said, "I'll be back in a minute, I'm going up the street...to make peace with the neighbor kid". I tried not to make a big deal out of it, but I was really proud of him and I think it's because of you girls--that we help and empower each other and we pay it forward :)

I think that is the great thing about being a farmgirl and this forum...it is about mutual respect, love, sharing, understanding...the list goes on. It makes me understand how the pioneer women of this country survived with the help of each other. I wish we could back to that more.

Cheers,
Heather

I quite agree, Alee! Just finding this forum has been a blessing for me. Now, I'm on the "hippie" side of things, but just finding other souls even close to resonating mine has been wonderful. My whole life, outlook and attitude to turning back to "normal". Prior to this, I was shutting myself off. I left like no one could ever understand the way I think. Now I've been opened up to a whole other universe that I thought didn't exist. It's magical and wonderful!
