The very best thing that happened to you today was....

The very best thing that happened to me today was seeing Nora play with her daddy for a few minutes before we went to work. My little girl loves her pappa so much and it shows!

I found Brussels sprouts in the store tonight. I haven't found any in a few weeks. I seriously have an addiction to the things and I have been going through major withdrawl!

I worked off a mad yeaterday without dumping my junk on the people I love. Whew!

And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk to blossom

It's still early, but the best thing that has happened to me so far is that Nora was my little alarm clock. I must have forgotten to set mine last night, but this morning, Nora woke me up right on time by pounding on her door. She wasn't fussy or anything. She just knew it was time to get up!

Someone on my dh's job site blew up an engine and they had to shut down for the day. He surprised me by coming home at 1 pm - about 7 hours early!!

An art project turned out exceptionally well and I got to take a nap.

I will sing at the top of my lungs, and I will dance even if I'm the only one...

Finding out that Abigail, whose temp shot quickly up to 101.4 yesterday, does not have strep, flu, or an ear infection. Now we just have to keep fluids down her and let her rest. Hopefully, none of us catch her virus! My daughter ssaid she was even asking for cheerios and gator-ade. A good thing.

And, we have had three inches of gentle rain. Boy, did we need it!

The very best thing that happened to me today was getting to go to my niece's school to see her national park presentation. All of the students on her team were set up in the cafeteria and parents and such could go around to the different students and see them give their presentations on which ever national park they'd researched. Not too many people came by to see hers, there were almost 100 students and it was in the middle of the morning when most parents were at work, so we got to chat awhile.
