Posted - Feb 15 2008 : 6:34:58 PM I have spent the past two days antiquing , My friends and I went down to the big Heart show, I was so cold yerterday we almost froze, but the antiques were there, I saw bo coodlings of some of the finest antiques in the country but buying was a big disapointment, I spent all of 10.00 but I do like to go because I meet a lot of contacts also got to get together with alot of my primitive friends from the Simple Goods, We all had lunch at Cracker barrel and had lots of laughs, We left there and took in 3 big malls in Goodlettsville , that was a big dissapointment, you know I like antiques not this stuff thats being crammed into antique malls, needless to say I never return to those places, today we went up to Greensburg and stopped at Hannahs, I am telling you that is the cutest little house you ever saw, the decorating is impeciable, picked up a few things there and on to Campbellsville to Sapps Antiques, I found a darling little painted box , then back home to load my friends van, It was so funny we did all that traveling and none of us spent very much money but my friend Ann Khuen totally filled her van here, so we all had a good time and laughed like teenagers

Posted - Feb 16 2008 : 09:05:12 AM Sounds like so much fun, Wilma! We missed you here, and I'm envious of your visit with Hannah and her place. And, so you didn't come back with much, but good memories and wonderful friends! That's a pretty good haul, in my opinion ;) I can't wait til you come up here in April for the Burlington, Kentucky show!!!! So many pies to make!

Posted - Feb 16 2008 : 08:55:04 AM I knew you had been awfully quiet Aunt Wilma! haha. I forgot that you were going to Nashville this week. Now girls, if you want to have a good time, you should see her and the girls going out junking. Even if you don't spend a dime, you will have the best time! I'm getting ready to go out and venture out some today to a couple of places. I've been holding back but I can't. I need a day out to go exploring for some antiques. haha.
And you guys went to Cracker Barrel....oh I love it there. Mom said my dream job would be to work there because of the country atmosphere. One of my best friends mom has worked at one for many years. Her discount comes good too ;-) haha.
I hope that you have a wonderful weekend with the antique girls!

Posted - Feb 16 2008 : 07:08:43 AM Its funny you mentioned the Cracker barrel!!! We have never heard of it here! Then my son spent last summer in Tennessee with his girlfriend and they ate there alot!!! He brought me home their pancake mix ,blueberry syrup and a bunch of those little bottles of maple syrup they give you when you ordered pancakes!!! Oh my! Soooo good!! So when his girlfriend went home for Christmas she brought me back a Cracker Barrel Christmas ornament and more syrup!!!

Posted - Feb 16 2008 : 06:56:21 AM I feel the same as you do, Nancy Jo, about gals to do the things I like. I have many friends here, but I seem to do the things they like with them and not the other way around! Thank goodness my daughter likes to junk - we are going today while the kids are napping, and grandpa is going to watch over them. Our city has about 5-6 junk shops that are worth visiting, and I am looking forawrd to having some time with my girl.
Miss Wilma - glad you had fun!!! It seems to be shopping week-end, what with the cabincreek get together also going on.
Nancy-Jo I set up a blog yesterday, currently the most boring blog on the intire web, I am sure. But it is a start, and now I hve to learn from here. I did not see a photo tutorial, so have to research that.
