Posted - Feb 15 2008 : 2:31:02 PM Corrine, I have a Sony A100 camera for a little over a year now and really like it. And the price has dropped like crazy. The main thing I love with the camera is that I don't have to have a flash with it a lot and it still captures photos really well, especially during concerts and inside.
Cameras have dropped in price from a few years ago. I suggest to not get the "new" thing because in a year, it will be cheaper, sometimes several hundreds cheaper and nothing has changed about it. Also, be sure to "price compare" with various dealers (circuit city, etc).
Are you looking for a "point and shoot" with a simple zoom or a SLR where you do a little bit more with the settings, etc.? Let me know and I can give you a few more suggestions.
