Hey Alee
I am an appraiser & would go broke if I had to buy batteries. Mine are a rechargable pack that I just sit on my port each night & I am good to go. I have had this camera about 5 yrs(I know time for a new one, but I could care less how beautiful water in a crawl space looks & this one does the trick), but in those 5 yrs, I have only had to replace my pack once(last year so I figure the pack lasted about 4 yrs of almost everyday use)
& I agree, you've got a great eye!

You can see by some of these photos why I _really_ needed this new camera! LOL

Oh Alee...here is another idea for ya. Get an external hard drive that you can plug up to your computer's USB port. I store my photographs on it in folders. It has 300 GB, so LOTS of photographs on it. Before I forget, I'll email who I use for a printer that does a great job.

Goodness....1st birthday. Miss Nora is growing up fast before our eyes. :)

Jessica-

Doug did buy me a 1 gb memory stick which seems nice so far, I will probably upgrade in a few months and have 2 or 3 memory cards, because I am serious- I could take gigs and gigs of photos if I am left to my own devices! LOL And Nora's first birthday is coming up so of course I will need lots of space for that too!

Too bad I can't use my computer as a "memory stick" LOL

Oh Alee, I'm just tickled pink to see your photographs. They are excellent!!

I recommend getting a 4-5GB memory card. Depending on the camera, you can hold a few hundred for a couple of thousand in one card. Usually Staples or one of the office suppliers will have them on sale cheaper than a tech store. Just keep checking the sale papers and you can find coupons for them. It seems like I can get them much cheaper than what they were a year ago. Got to love technology!!

I love photography too. Monday I'm teaching our local 4H kiddos photography and prepping them for our county fair. The digital technology has been very affordable and less waste of resources to print photographs. Granted, I still have my film SLR camera and use it from time to time, but cost wise, my digital camera has been better for me. I'm hoping to finally print my photos in a photobook whenever I get the chance.

Sherri- No, those are with the new, now defunct, camera. LOL Let's hope my Sony Cybershot #2 lasts longer than the first!!

And thanks for the compliments! I love taking photos. I really love digital pictures because it doesn't cost an arm and a leg for me to indulge in my hobby. I need to get a 10 gig memory stick (do they even make those?) and have about 10 extra batteries on hand because I could seriously take pictures all day.

Those are some really great shots, Alee. I really enjoyed those. You should blow some of them up and enter them in your fair this year.
